1. Minuit (pronounced min-wee) are an Electronic/Pop band from New Zealand, originally from Nelson. The members of Minuit are Paul Dodge, Ruth Carr and Ryan Beehre.
They first came to prominence in 2002 when their single 'Species II' was used in the intro to the New Zealand gay and lesbian lifestyle TV show Queer Nation. Their highly original debut album, "The 88", was released in late 2003. A video of the single "Except U" was made by Alyx Duncan - a project that achieved much acclaim. Then in 2005 came the limited edition 5 track "Guns EP", featuring the single "I hate guns" (which had an animated video mimicking the TV show "Are You Being Served). Released in 2006 was the album "The Guards Themselves", and with this album the band turned to Alyx Duncan once again to make a video for their single 'Fuji'. The album also includes a video for "Suave as Sin" directed by Mike Bridgman featuring a 4 yr old Kiel Beehre. The Minuit live show has been touring NZ and Europe extensively throughout 2006-07, while they release a handful of 12" vinyl remixes. Minuit are set to release the UK/Europe version of their previous albums in 2008, titled, "I went to a party and there were 88 Guards with Guns"
2. Minuit, also known as Minuit de lacroix is a Mexican electronic musician from Tijuana.

He's my yeah yeah,
He's my yeah yeah
He's my beautiful boy,
He's my yeah yeah,
He's more mysterious than Hitchcock, baby,
He's the knife in the back,
Me in the alley out of my place, baby
He's my beautiful boy,
He's my yeah yeah,
The safety catch on my suicide gun, boy,
He's the shot in the dark,
That never found it's mark,
But kept the motherfuckers at bay, baby
He's my yeah yeah
He's my yeah yeah
He's my beautiful boy
He's my yeah yeah
He keeps my head above the water, floating
He's the knife in the back
Of the man who attacked
Me in the alley out of my place, baby
He's my beautiful boy
He's my yeah yeah
The safety catch on my suicide gun, boy
He's the shot in the dark
That never found it's mark
But kept the motherfuckers at bay, baby
He's my yeah yeah
He's my yeah yeah
He's my yeah yeah
This is where we all belong
This is where we all come from
This is where we all belong
Let's die honest
This is where we all belong
This is where we all come from
This is where we all belong
Let's die honest
Let's die honest
Let's die honest
Let's die honest
Yeah yeah
Yeah yeah
He's my saviour
Save me, save me
Could you be braver?
Save me, save me
He's my saviour
Save me, save me
Yeah yeah
Yeah yeah
He's my beautiful boy,
He's my yeah yeah,
He's more mysterious than Hitchcock, baby,
He's the knife in the back,
Of the man who attacked
Me in the alley out of my place, baby
He's my beautiful boy,
He's my yeah yeah,
The safety catch on my suicide gun, boy,
He's the shot in the dark,
That never found it's mark,
But kept the motherfuckers at bay, baby
He's my yeah yeah
Yeah yeah
Yeah yeah
The song "Yeah Yeah" by Minuit is a tribute to a lover or a partner who serves as a source of strength and protection. The singer regards the subject of the song as "my beautiful boy" and "my yeah yeah." There is a sense of exclusivity and reverence in how the singer describes their partner, as if they are the only thing that matters in their world. The lyrics that follow provide a glimpse into the person's relationship with their partner. The partner is described as being more mysterious than Hitchcock, as well as being the knife in the back of the man who attacked the singer in an alley. The partner is the safety catch on the singer's suicide gun and the shot in the dark that never found its mark but kept the motherfuckers at bay.
Through these descriptions, it becomes clear that the partner is both a source of comfort and safety for the singer. The knife in the back analogy suggests a willingness to defend the singer, even in dangerous situations. The safety catch on the suicide gun could represent a kind of emotional safety, someone who is keeping the singer from going to a dark place. The "shot in the dark" analogy suggests a kind of hopeful protection, that the partner is there to keep the bad things away, even if they don't always hit their target.
Overall, "Yeah Yeah" is a song about love, protection, and the kind of safety that comes from having someone in your life who cares for you deeply.
