How can life be what you want it to be
You're frozen when your heart's not open
You're so consumed with how much you get
You waste your time with hate and regret
You're frozen when your heart's not open
Hum
Hum
We'd never be apart
Hum
Give yourself to me
Hum
You are the key
Now there's no point in placing the blame
And you should know I'd suffer the same
If I lose you, my heart would be broken
Love is a bird, she needs to fly
Let all the hurt inside you die
You're frozen when your heart's not open
Hum
If I could melt your heart
Hum
We'd never be apart
Hum
Give yourself to me
Hum
You are the key
You only see what your eyes want to see
How can life be what you want it to be
You're frozen when your heart's not open
Hum
If I could melt your heart
Hum
We'd never be apart
Hum
Give yourself to me
Hum
You are the key
Hum
If I could melt your heart
Hum
We'd never be apart
Hum
Give yourself to me
Hum
You are the key
If I could melt your heart
Mira Awad's song "Frozen" is a powerful ballad about the dangers of living with a closed heart. The song presents the idea that people often only see what they want to see, distancing themselves from the reality that life cannot always meet their expectations. When people are consumed by their own desires, they waste their time with hate and regret, and further isolate themselves from the rest of the world. The song suggests that love is a bird that needs to fly, and that holding onto the past only results in feeling frozen and disconnected from life.
The chorus "If I could melt your heart, we'd never be apart, give yourself to me, you are the key" expresses the desire to break through this emotional blockage and connect with someone on a deeper level. The song describes the pain of losing a loved one and the understanding that holding a grudge or living with a closed heart would only cause further harm to both parties. The lyrics encourage the listener to open up their hearts to love and vulnerability.
Mira Awad's powerful vocals, ethereal vocal fry and humming in the background all contribute to the emotional weight of the song. The music video for "Frozen" features the singer crawling around in a forest, representing the desire to break free from feelings of isolation.
