Resistance
Miracle Of Sound Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
In blue become a shade
Years they sleep inside a moment
Wake upon a blade
Resist - remain
Shaken from the still
Resist - remain
Breaking out through the doors
Is there nothing worth saving anymore?
Split the pillars of war
Is there nothing worth saving anymore?
Hope is an ember in the dust
Spark of resistance will combust
Brothers burn the bonds of order
Sisters slash the chains
Concrete titans scar the skyline
Rotten to the grain
Resist - remain
Flawless has no face
Resist - remain
Rightness has no race
Breaking out through the doors
Is there nothing worth saving anymore?
Split the pillars of war
Is there nothing worth saving anymore?
Hope is an ember in the dust
Spark of resistance will combust
RESIST
Breaking out through the doors
Is there nothing worth saving anymore?
Split the pillars of war
Is there nothing worth saving anymore?
Hope is an ember in the dust
Spark of resistance will combust
RESIST
Resist - remain
The lyrics to Miracle Of Sound's song Resistance are about standing up against oppression and the concept of resistance. The opening lines "sink into the peaceful sea, in blue become a shade, years they sleep inside a moment, wake upon a blade" can be interpreted as a call to action to those who are oppressed to rise up and fight back against their oppressors. The lines "resist - remain, shaken from the still, no more time to kill" show that the time for idle contemplation is over, that it is time to take action and resist the situation that they are in.
The second verse is a plea to the people who are fighting to not lose hope, to not give up. The lines "Hope is an ember in the dust, spark of resistance will combust" show that hope may seem lost, but even the smallest spark can ignite a fire of change. The final verse is once again a call to arms, asking the people to break out of their captivity and fight for what is right, for what is worth saving. The song concludes with the repeated "resist - remain" as a final message to stay strong and fight for freedom.

It was nice to see that Wolfenstein got the reboot it deserved. Kind of odd that such a badass game got forgotten so fast....

We were too busy focusing on things like Call of Duty Our-sequel-numbers-went-so-high-we-just-called-it-infinite and Assassin's Creed: We don't care anymore(or consider the implications of the Assassins operating 90% by attacking random thugs in front of crowds in major cities with modern police forces that despite corruption from both sides would definitely eventually pay SOME notice to the literal piles of corpses; oh, and the dumb enemy thugs are sniping from rooftops--like actual assassins would given that setting....)

True.
Oh look! Call of Duty 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 came out!

Couldn't agree more Alucard Fan. Wolfenstein: The New Order is one of my favorite games (and the best FPS IMO) mainly because unlike so many games. once you got it, that was it. No DLC or microtransactions or add-ons. Just a complete game. It set the bar for FPS' but barely anyone played it. Such a shame.
