Roll Out
Miracle of Sound Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

On the metal world of Cybertron
There is a rockin' robot race
Two warring tribes are laying waste
To a once great shining place

Molten metal fires
Dot the alloy and the chrome
Sparks and twisted wires
Paint the surface of our home

The Autobots are hunted
By the cruel Decepticons
The slaughter is directed
By the evil Megatron

This metal robo-Stalin
Only has one equal foe
So ready up your battle cry
It's time to let him know...

Autobots...
Transform... and
ROLL OUT!!
We're gonna blow these stinkin' 'cons away
ROLL OUT!!
We're makin' a bigger mess than Michael Bay

ROLL OUT!!
They're gonna pay for tearin' up our home
ROLL OUT!!
Pedal to metal time to kick some chrome!

Starsceam is an idiot
And Swindle is a phoney
Grimlock's gonna squash you
To beryllium baloney

Bruticus got roid rage
Metal muscles flex
But he's weaker than a Witwicky
Compared to Metroplex

Jazz is kinda ghetto
Cause you gotta hit that market
We're piloting the arc
But we got nowhere left to park it

Set a course for the stars
Gotta leave the war behind
Roll out to cosmos
Let's see what we will find!

ROLL OUT!!
We're gonna blow these stinkin' cons away
ROLL OUT!!
We're makin' a bigger mess than Michael Bay

ROLL OUT!!
They're gonna pay for tearin' up our home
ROLL OUT!!
Pedal to metal time to kick some chrome!

Lazerbeak and Rumble
Live in Soundwave's dark interior
Constructicons will crumble
Next to me they are inferior

Foes will cease to function
Burning circuits fizzle out
But even Soundwave cowers
When he hears their leader shout...

ROLL OUT!!
We're gonna blow these stinkin' cons away
ROLL OUT!!
We're makin' a bigger mess than Michael Bay

ROLL OUT!!
They're gonna pay for tearin' up our home

ROLL OUT!!
Pedal to metal time to kick some chrome!

The entire song is a reference to The Touch :D The cheesy 80s chorus, the 80s synths, the vaguely stadium metal tone... all of it!

@billshell6222

Fall if cybertron was my favorite game but I did watch the G1 and the writing was actually pretty good and I wish there was more transformers similar to fall of cybertron

@miracleofsound

Song was released 19th Feb 2011 actually on my Youtube, Madalore's vid was made a few days after :)

@miracleofsound

Cheers!

@ryandeveau6738

1:05 I wanna note here. Optimus Prime follows Geneva Conventions during his action scene. He does not kill a single Decepticon until they fire upon him in this scene.

@blasecascadeanimation4671

At the same time though, would it count as breaking the convention if he fired first because they weren’t retreating from him, they were trying to get further into the city to kill more Autobots, it’s still an active war zone

@garganrose

I don't think alien robots are actually subject to the Geneva convention.

@Kaizer617

@garganrose Actually, the Transformers have an equivalent to the Geneva Convention known as the Tyrest Accords in the IDW Comics. It's basically the same thing. Though, both factions have representatives who ensure both sides are following the rules and arrest anyone who isn't. The Autobots' representative is Ultra Magnus. Can't remember who his Decepticon opposite number is. Not sure if that's in the Geneva Convention, I just thought it was worth mentioning.

@billyjames9283

this song is proof that people can all agree that transformers is the most awesome thing ever designed to sell toys.

@johnalogue9832

+Billy James Then they realized they didn't need ANYTHING of substance, and that all they need is microtransactions, focus groups, and psychological exploitation, like Konami.
