Ezio is the best Assassin in the series. We saw his transformation from a childest young man born into the easy life of aristocracy to a sudden avenger with anger burning in his flesh, to a caretaker, to a hero. He wasn't just a random guy with a random loose background that was shoved upon us.
Assassin's Creed 2 was a perfect game in nearly all remarks.
