This one is Mishka Frith.… Read Full Bio ↴There is more than one band called Mishka.
This one is Mishka Frith. Like his older sister, singer/songwriter Heather Nova (born Heather Frith), pop-reggae singer Mishka grew up at sea, traveling from island to island in the West Indies on his Canadian mother and Bermudian father's sailboat, where he received most of his education and listened to whatever music he could. When his parents returned to Canada, he completed school and returned to the Caribbean, eventually becoming a competitive windsurfer and representing Bermuda at international meets. In the meantime, he had also taken up songwriting, and he chanced to meet and impress Creation Records head Alan McGee with his vocal ability in late 1996; with prodding from Nova, Mishka was signed to a record contract the following year. His eponymous debut album, a mix of pop, reggae, soul, and singer/songwriter folk-rock, was released in 1999.
The other Mishka is from Ireland, currently living in America. Fronted by Lauren Norton. They have one EP - 47 Varieties Of Hindsight. Myspace: www.myspace.com/mihskamusik
Give Them Love
Mishka Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Give them light
Help them to live
Show them truth
Teach them right
Cause it is good in Jah sight
Leave them up
Give them fly
Cause there's innove
War and strife
Let's give thanks to good things in life
You never know the time wherever move so fast
And You do your very best to try to slow it down
About Tomorrow always try to live the past
But if will be in now INI we'll be around
The lyrics in Mishka's song "Give Them Love" advocate for a world where love, light, and truth prevail over chaos and conflict. The song urges listeners to help others live their best lives, to teach them right from wrong, and to inspire them to reach new heights. In this way, the song evokes a sense of unity and hope, suggesting that by working together, we can create a better world for ourselves and for future generations.
The lyrics are also deeply spiritual in nature, referencing the concept of Jah - a term often used by Rastafarians to refer to God or a higher power. Mishka encourages listeners to do what is good in Jah's sight, suggesting that there is a moral obligation to act in accordance with divine principles. The song also emphasizes the importance of gratitude, urging listeners to give thanks for the good things in life and to appreciate every moment because time moves quickly and we never know what the future holds.
