Overtyme
Mishon Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Uh, yeah
Now I don’t know how you do it, but you do it
They assume that beautiful girls never go through it
By now, anybody else would be ruined,
But not you baby, you just keep it moving

Pre-chorus:
And I know that you’d be out here on your own
Girl I see you, I see you, I see you
And I know you keep it real when they don’t
Girl I feel you, I feel you, I feel you yeah

Chorus:
Girl it’s nice to see the way you be working hard
Don’t nobody really notice you be on your job (job)
Overtime, overtime, overtime, yeah
Overtime, overtime, overtime, yeah

Girl it’s nice to see the way you be working hard
Don’t nobody really notice you be on your job
Overtime, overtime, overtime, yeah
Overtime, overtime, overtime, yeah

That… if you don’t see it then it’s crazy
Cause you throw it hard, and you make it all look easy
Times get hard and you still look so amazing
Keep looking that good, you just might have my baby

Pre-chorus:
And I know that you’d be out here on your own
Girl I see you, I see you, I see you
And I know you keep it real when they don’t
Girl I feel you, I feel you, I feel you yeah

Chorus:
Girl it’s nice to see the way you be working hard
Don’t nobody really notice you be on your job
Overtime, overtime, overtime, yeah
Overtime, overtime, overtime, yeah

Girl it’s nice to see the way you be working hard
Don’t nobody really notice you be on your job
Overtime, overtime, overtime, yeah
Overtime, overtime, overtime, yeah

Yeah baby I can see you’re beautiful
But I’ve seen that everywhere
But how you’ve taken care of your business on your own
Oh baby you’re rare!
It’s worth more than your dreams
It’s what you deserve
So you’re sWending all your time

Chorus:
Girl it’s nice to see the way you be working hard
Don’t nobody really notice you be on your job
Overtime, overtime, overtime, yeah
Overtime, overtime, overtime, yeah

Girl it’s nice to see the way you be working hard
Don’t nobody really notice you be on your job

Overtime, overtime, overtime, yeah
Overtime, overtime, overtime, yeah

This is real R&B, the way R&B should still be. Props to young Mishon for keeping it real...alot of that don't exist in today's mainstream artist.

The fact I just heard this song for the first time the other day is bothering me. I thought it was a new song but I knew it was too good to be true. It’s 2023 ! They don’t push songs like this anymore. This definitely underrated!!
