I came to the realization that my conscience and inner feelings never truly go away no matter how much I try to escape them.

When you're young you have this image of your life
As a child, you imagine a certain life for yourself that includes being morally upstanding and perhaps even starting a family.

That you'd be scrupulous and one day even make a wife
You envision yourself as someone who is honest and respectable, eventually settling down and starting a family of your own.

And you make boundaries you'd never dream to cross
You establish the personal boundaries that you vow to never cross in order to maintain your values and self-worth.

And if you happen to you wake completely lost
If those boundaries get blurred or crossed, you may feel completely lost and unsure of yourself.

But I will fight for you
I am willing to stand up for you and defend our relationship.

I find it easier to stay inside my comfort zone and avoid acknowledging the truth or confronting challenges.

However, staying in my comfort zone will only lead to long-term negative consequences.

So is it better to tell and hurt
It is important to consider whether it is better to be honest and hurt someone or to lie and spare their feelings.

Or lie to save their face
The alternative is to lie to protect their image and reputation.

Ultimately, the best solution is...

Don't do it in the first place
To avoid the complicated decision and fear of consequence, it is best to not lie in the first place.

I know I'm not deserving of your trust from you right now
I realize that I have lost your trust lately and that I must work to earn it back.

But if by chance you change your mind
If there is any chance that you will forgive me...

I am committed to repairing our relationship and will not disappoint you moving forward.

I step outside my minds eyes for a minute
I take step back and try to view the situation objectively.
