2013 was a success for MG as well. They were finalist in Manitoba Songfest with their track “Hear Me Out” and again showcased at NXNE 2013 coinciding with another Canadian Tour. This year has been full of touring including two tours our West and a month long tour in Ontario and Quebec with showcases at Big Fun Festival (Winnipeg), Juno Fest (Winnipeg), Canadian Music Week (Toronto), Pouzza Fest (Montreal) and Golden Sound Festival (Golden BC).
Mobina Galore will be releasing their latest studio album "Cities Away" produced by John Paul Peters (Propagandhi, Royal Canoe, Mahogany Frog) in December. The album is pure, emotional, punk rock written and played with love and an abundance of high energy. They continue to focus on planning the release of what’s going to be a huge album for the band and will be out on the road again this winter once the album is released.
Fade Away
Mobina Galore Lyrics

I've been thinking about you all the time
If there′s nothing that hurts then there's nothing to gain
You've been slowly slipping further away
I could barely drive that day that I read your post
Some thousand miles away but I could feel you there
Would I have heard just like everyone else online
I think that we′re all just waiting for this to all fade away
I think that we′re all just waiting for this to all fade away
I think that we're all just waiting for this to all fade away
I think that we′re all just waiting for this
I think that we're all just waiting for this to all fade away
I think that we′re all just waiting for this to all fade away
I think that we're all just waiting for this to all fade away
I think that we′re all just waiting for this
I'm just trying to keep myself occupied
The opening lyrics of Mobina Galore's song "Fade Away" introduce the theme of heartbreak and the difficulty of moving on. The singer is attempting to distract herself from her pain by keeping busy and occupied, but ultimately her thoughts keep returning to the person she has lost. The line, "If there's nothing that hurts then there's nothing to gain," suggests that the singer sees the pain of losing someone as a sign of the depth of the relationship, and something to be valued rather than avoided.
The second verse introduces the idea of social media, with the singer reading a post from the person she has lost. The physical distance between them is emphasized, but the emotional proximity is still present, with the singer feeling as though she can feel the person's presence even from far away. The final line of the verse, "Or would I be on your list of people to call," highlights the uncertainty and melancholy that often accompany the end of a relationship.
The repetition in the chorus, with the line "I think that we're all just waiting for this to all fade away" being repeated four times, emphasizes the universality of heartbreak and the desire for closure and healing. The use of "we" instead of "I" implies that many people feel this way after losing someone, and that there is a shared experience in the pain of letting go.
