We Are All Made of Stars

Growing in speed
Can't fight the future
Can't fight what I see
People they come together
People they fall apart
No one can stop us now
Efforts of lovers
Left in my mind
I sing in the reaches
We'll see what we find
People they come together
People they fall apart
No one can stop us now
'Cause we are all made of stars
People they come together
People they fall apart
No one can stop us now
'Cause we are all made of stars
Slow slow slow, come come
Someone come come come
Even love is goin' 'round
You can't ignore what is goin' 'round
Slowly rebuilding
I feel it in me
Growing in numbers
Growing in peace
People they come together
People they fall apart
No one can stop us now
'Cause we are all made of stars
People they come together
People they fall apart
No one can stop us now
'Cause we are all made of stars
People they come together
(People they come together)
People they fall apart
(People they fall apart)
No one can stop us now
(No one can stop us now)
'Cause we are all made of stars
(We are all made of stars)
'Cause we are all made of stars
People they come together
'Cause we are all made of stars
(People they fall apart)
'Cause we are all made of stars
(No one can stop us now)
'Cause we are all made of stars
(We are all made of stars)
In "We Are All Made of Stars," Moby reflects on the idea that the human race is inherently interconnected and evolves together towards a common destiny. Moby starts the first verse with "Growing in numbers, growing in speed" possibly suggesting that the human population on Earth is increasing, and the speed at which it grows is also accelerating. Moby then accepts that he cannot fight the future and what he sees, suggesting that people continue to evolve and change at an almost incomprehensible rate.
Moby then notes that people come together and fall apart, but ultimately, no one can stop us because we are all made of stars. We are all interconnected and all have the potential to shine brightly in our own way. The lyrics "efforts of lovers, left in my mind, I sing in the reaches, we'll see what we find" seems to suggest that love is the key to our ultimate destiny, and if we all come together to love and support each other, we can find what we are looking for.
The repeat of "People they come together, People they fall apart, No one can stop us now, 'Cause we are all made of stars" reinforces that we all come together and apart, but ultimately we are all one, and nothing can stop us. Moby's lyrics in We Are All Made of Stars are a call for unity, compassion, and empathy for one another, and a reminder that we all share a collective humanity.
