If Things Were Perfect
Moby Lyrics
[sample: "give me summer"] x2
[sample: "give me summer"] x2
Broken darkness my cold end
I look for places I've never seen
Nothing moves but the quiet on the street
Now I open my eyes to this
Isolated walking long hard hours
It's so brutal with the cold sky
Wrapped in cold late at night
[sample: "give me summer"] x2
Come clean there's no sun yet
The only lights here are made
I can't speak, I can't hear, but I know I'm real
There's no warm here anyway
The darkest lights before the dawn
You remember the sun but it sank
In the water that eats the light
Wrapped in cold late at night
[sample: "give me summer"] x2
I open my eyes, it's cold
The only souls go by
Lift the bridge out of the water
The stone black light
Living is easy when it's night
The cold has covered the rain
I can see forever, to the deep
Wrapped in cold, late at night
[sample: "give me summer"] x4

“Remember that band James? Before James became successful they put out some singles on Factory Records. One was called “Hymn From The Village” and “If Things Were Perfect” was the B side. For some reason I liked that title. So when I wrote and recorded this song, even though there’s no relationship between the title and the song, I just gave it that name. I don’t know why. Sort of an homage to James even though the song sounds nothing like James. Read Full Bio“Remember that band James? Before James became successful they put out some singles on Factory Records. Sort of an homage to James even though the song sounds nothing like James. I did meet (James vocalist) Tim Booth in a nightclub once and he was telling me he quit music to teach yoga. That’s one of the spoken-word songs. That’s the one that was directly inspired by walking around Chinatown, the two bridges area, at like 5 o’clock in the morning. That’s the most New Yorky song on the record”. - Moby (rollingstone.com)

@Ostebrix Sorry for the hostility, it seems like it's hard for me not to be grumpy these days. That's why I listen to stuff like Moby, haha xD
Ostebrix
@d take it easy, I wasn't being sarcastic, I think it adds to it

Who cares about the logic of it. It sounds cool, that's the whole point.
Average Loser
You can hear it in The Sky Is Broken as well, and they rustle multiple times during that track, the hell kinda font size he printing at if he can't fit it on one page?
