Moby found commercial and critical success with his fifth album Play (1999), which, after receiving little recognition, became an unexpected global hit in 2000 after each track was licensed to films, television shows, and commercials. It remains his highest selling album with 12 million copies sold. Its seventh single, "South Side", featuring Gwen Stefani, remains his only one to appear on the US Billboard Hot 100, reaching No. 14. Moby followed Play with albums of varied styles including electronic, dance, rock, and downtempo music, starting with 18 (2002), Hotel (2005), and Last Night (2008). His later albums saw him explore ambient music, including the almost four-hour release Long Ambients 1: Calm. Sleep. (2016). Moby continues to record and release albums; his twenty-first studio album, Resound NYC, was released in May 2023.
In addition to his music career, Moby is known for his veganism and support for animal rights and humanitarian aid. He was the owner of TeaNY, a vegan cafe in Manhattan, and Little Pine, a vegan restaurant in Los Angeles, and organized the vegan music and food festival Circle V. He is the author of four books, including a collection of his photography and two memoirs: Porcelain: A Memoir (2016) and Then It Fell Apart (2019).

Say It's All Mine
Moby Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Like a waste of mind
Well I know it's side ball
I can't seem to find
Like a waste of someone
Like a wasted home
Well I know it's over
I know it's over long
I saw it in my eyes
Ever slip into me baby?
And I know it's mine
I gotta say it's all mine
With so low
Well I know it's not mine
With so much
Well I say it's all mine
With so low
And I know it's not mine
Well it's solace baby
I saw the face of mine
You took my hand and held on
For the longest time
I was always looking to be the one for you
It could have been so perfect
If I still lied at you
And I want to scream inside you no-one
Did you ever look at me
I saw a place where I was open
Now it will die mine
I gotta say it's all mine
When no man
When I know it's not mine
With so much
When I'm faking the lies
With so low
I gotta say it's all mine
Gotta say it's all mine
Wanna say it's all mine
Gonna say it's all mine
It was so good
It was so good
It was so good
It was so good
It was so good
It was so good
It was so mine
I gotta say it's all mine
With so low
When I know it's not mine
It's over
And I can face it no lie
With so much
Well I know it's not mine
With so low
I know it's not mine
With so much
I gotta face it's a lie
With so low
I know it's not mine
With so far
I gotta place it's a lie
It was so good
So good
Say it's so good
Say it's so good
Say it's so good
Say it's so good
Say it's so good
The lyrics of "Say It's All Mine" by Moby are somewhat cryptic and lend themselves to multiple interpretations. One possible explanation is that the song is about a relationship that has ended, leaving the singer feeling lost and alone. The line "I know it's over" suggests that the relationship has run its course and there is no going back. The imagery of a "waste of mind" and a "wasted home" indicates a sense of emptiness or futility.
The chorus, "I gotta say it's all mine," seems to express a desire to hold onto what remains of the relationship, to claim ownership of the memories and feelings that once existed. However, the following lines suggest that this is not possible: "Well I know it's not mine/And I can't face it no lie." The singer is forced to confront the fact that the relationship is truly over and can never be reclaimed.
The song ends with a repetition of the phrase "It was so good," perhaps indicating a bittersweet nostalgia for what once was. Overall, "Say It's All Mine" is a poignant exploration of lost love and the difficulty of letting go.

Amo esse cara e acredito que ''Animal Rights'' foi uma das melhores
compilações noise de 96.
Essa pegada sombria, melancólica e distorcida viabiliza outra faixa
maravilhosa desse grande álbum, "That's when I reach for my revolver"
