Bichhade sabhi bichhade sabhi baari baari
Are dekhi zamaane ki yaari
Bichhade sabhi baari baari
Kyaa leke mile ab duniyaa se
Aansu ke sivaa kuchh paas nahi
Yaa phul hi phul the daamanme
Yaa kaanto ki bhi aas nahiMatalab ki duniyaa hai saari
Bichhade sabhi bichhade sabhi baari baari
Are dekhi zamaane ki yaari
Bichhade sabhi baari baari
Bichhade sabhi baari baari
Vaqt hai meharbaa aarzu hai zabaa
Fikr kal ki kare itani furasat kahaan
Vaqt hai meharbaa aarzu hai zabaa
Fikr kal ki kare itani furasat kahaan
Daur ye chalataa rahe rang uchhalataa rahe
Rup machalataa rahe jaam badalataa rahe
Daur ye chalataa rahe rang uchhalataa rahe
Rup machalataa rahe jaam badalataa rahe
Daur ye chalataa rahe rang uchhalataa rahe
Rup machalataa rahe jaam badalataa rahe
Raat bhar mahamaa hai bahaare yahaan
Raat agar dhal gai phir ye kushiyaan kahaan
Raat bhar mahamaa hai bahaare yahaan
Raat agar dhal gai phir ye kushiyaan kahaan
Pal bhar ki kushiyaan hai saari
Pal bhar ki kushiyaan hai saari
Pal bhar ki kushiyaan hai saari
Bichhade sabhi baari baari
Badhane laghi bekarari
Badhane laghi bekarari
D jaa ud jaa pyaase bhanvare
Ras na milega khaaron men
Kaagaz ke phool jahaan khilate hain
Baith na un gulazaaro men
Naadaan tamanna reti men
Ummeed ki kashti kaheti hai
Ik haath se deti hai duniya
Sou haathon se le leti hai
Ye khel hai kab se jaari
Bichhade sabhi, bichhade sabhi baari baari
Dekhi zamaane ki yaari
Bichhade sabhi baari baari
Kyaa leke mile ab duniyaa se
Aansu ke sivaa kuchh paas nahi
Yaa phul hi phul the daamanme
Yaa kaanto ki bhi aas nahi
Matalab ki duniyaa hai saari
Bichhade sabhi bichhade sabhi baari baari
Are dekhi zamaane ki yaari
Bichhade sabhi baari baari
Bichhade sabhi baari baari
The song Dekhi Zamane Ki Yaari talks about the harsh realities of life and how people tend to drift apart from one another over time. The lyrics begin by saying that all companionship has been lost over time, and now the only thing left with the singer are their tears. The world does not offer anything else to them, neither flowers nor dreams. The world seems to be meaningless, and everyone is drifting apart from each other, leaving everything behind.
In the next verse, the singer talks about how time is always moving on, and people are rushing for their desires, yet they never find the time to cherish the moments. Time does not stand still, and the singer tells us to live in the moment, to cherish every second of our lives. The world keeps changing, leaving everything behind, and the singer feels that happiness comes and goes in no time.
The last verse is about how people are foolishly chasing their desires, hoping to find happiness in them, but they do not understand that true happiness is not in materialistic things. Hope is the only thing that sustains the people, and it is the most fragile of all, like sand it slips away from our grasp in a blink of an eye.
Overall, Dekhi Zamane Ki Yaari is a song about how everything is temporary, and eventually, we all will be drifting apart from each other.

दर्द की इंतहा है मोहमद रफी साहब का यह अमर गीत जिसको सुनते ही आख से अपने आप ही आंसू बहने लगते हैं ।

The lyrics by Kaifi Azmi and S D Burman's music are sheer genius. Icing on the cake is the voice of Mohd Rafi. The pain, agony and desperation is rendered so beautifully. One can hear the song a million times and still wonder at the beauty of the composition. Rafi saheb was unique

Guru Datt was a man ahead of time, he was unfortunately, only felicitated after his death.

Sab hi ko ek doosre se bichadna hai ek din magar Guru Dutt Sahab ki acting, expressions dekh kar ankhein nam ho gayee. Such a great actor i can't getting words to praise.
