As a student, can you explain how she could reach the five Octaves of a Messo Soprano without any Professional Voice training. Or even performed the " Triple Coloratura" or the Singing of Birds, no other Opera singer has ever achieved? It is because she was a true Inca Princess, with a Voice out of this World. I am convinced YMA SUMAC must be considered one of the outstanding personalities of Peruvian and International Music because she grew her voice singing as contralto virago, lyric mezzo-soprano, lyric and fast soprano, and triple (from B2 to Csharp7) with complicated ornamentations. In addition, she copied birdsongs and others strange sounds, performing her personalized and exotic repertoire.
