He told me about a prisoner who worked as a clerk in his office - a lifer. He said he seems like a nice guy generally, and does good work, but, "if the mood hit him, and he had a chance, he'd gut me and eat a cheeseburger while he watched me die." Some people are beyond redemption.

Glad they have survived but this will plague them for life and I hope they get the mental health help they need. There would be no shame if the older sibling used deadly force to save her siblings, but it is understood that under scary circumstances it is hard to act on that. She did the right thing by calling 911 and still was able to help save her young siblings and herself.

I think that was the most disturbing thing I've ever seen in my life - the actual video of the woman in the bathtub attempting to drown the baby. When Andrea Yates did that, they investigated and discovered she really was insane. Thankfully she did have to go to a psychiatric hospital for the rest of her life. But that's the only reason I can imagine someone trying to do this, and even IF you ARE insane, I believe there has to be a hefty amount of evil within you. You just can't do that to your children if you're not evil. Someone capable of doing that should not be around other people. They shouldn't be around living things that they can murder. Life is not something you just stomp out because you've decided to have a hissy fit. You're supposed to appreciate being alive. And people who use their ability to bring children into the world for other purposes that do not honor the principle that we should support the miracle of life are evil. If you are using death, whether it's an immediate death or a slow death involving torture for your own manipulative purposes, you are evil and you shouldn't be among the living and those who care about survival. I really hope the children survive to be adults and are not scarred to the point that they cannot be healthy and thrive. And I hope something happens to this woman so that she can't hurt anyone or anything else.

the eerie silence when they enter is so disturbing. having mental health problems can be truly frightening at times. we have a society that doesn't understand it so there is little support and resources for it. i deeply hope not only mom gets help (of course she shouldn't have custody of the kids ever again and needs extensive therapy before living among society) but the kids need help too. its going to leave scars on all of them. even toddlers. i don't want those kids to fall through the cracks like their mom and so many others have. lets not minimize and reduce this to just "evilness walking among us" as some of the comments state. no this was a human being that did it. they weren't possessed by the devil. we need better mental healhcare in this country so we can stop this long before it gets to this point.

Wow, someone ask what percipitated this mother to do this, we don't know at this time, but it brings me back to what a Man I knew told me in a conversation we had, He appeared to be broken, he and I were body builders at that time, He was older than me and spoke so sadly about His Feeling about people, particular about the Leaders in this Country and how the minds of the people that we are suppose to look up to, and how they are, and how they have been letting the Citizens of this Country down for centuries, by spreading hate and Discriminating and making unjust laws against certain people in this Country, treating them badly and different as though are underneath Caucassion people, and How He couldn't stand even the thought of bringing Kids into this World and have them to face the messy things that He Himself has faced and endured in this Country. and Knowing that there are many minorities Mothers, and Parents that felt this way that already had Children already, and did not want their Children going through the Hateful things forced upon them by unjust people and a unjust Government. This was a first for me to hear thoughts from someone speaking this way, what he was saying kicked in at that instant, and it was sad for me to understand that some people would rather see their kids dead than to have them go through the Hate and Discrimination practiced in this Country, It's sad for anyone to believe in their hearts that because of Race and Color that they are better than other people, no one's mind should be that sick to honestly believe such garbage thinking. God didn't make you better so why would ANY People swallow such poison thinking and believe that in their Hearts, Everyone alive should understand that regardless of Race or Skin Color We all Love Our Children and Families, Just as Strong as Anyone Else, this may not be what Percipitated this actions of this Mother but it very well could be, either way she is not well, let our Leaders start being upright Leaders and start the healing in this Country, taking care of what our Leaders created through Hate, Discriminating and enforcing unjust laws upon those who are of the least of who are among us, Prisons are not the answer, Healing is! @DL-ep5uk uhhh well you're wrong with that statement. Some will judge immediately by race and stereotype others, but yeah, also by actions. Idk about people feeling like they're better, but they will for sure have a negative view of someone because of their race.
