Their first single Gold In The Fire / Black The Colour Of My Heart was released on Neon Gold Records on February 1st 2010. They have done remixes for Ellie Goulding, Kelis, Lady Gaga, Marina & the Diamonds, etc. Their first live show was broadcast into space, making them the first band ever to perform live into space. Their debut album 'Around The Sun' was released in 2011.

On 27 April 2015, Armstrong announced the split of Monarchy. On 1 June, he announced that the duo had reconciled and would continue touring and creating new music. Monarchy collaborated with electronic artist Karma Fields on the track "Faint Echoes", taken from the album New Age | Dark Age, released on 2 March 2016. On August 6th, 2021 the band announced they would be splitting once again. This was accompanied by the release of the bands latest album SYZYGY

Just came across this group for the first time tonight while I was looking for artist similar to HURTS. Why have I never heard of Monarchy before??? They are awesome!!! O_O

I can understand what described the break up emotion as objects.

I was expecting something quite different for the song. It somehow reminds me of visual stuff from Woodkid plus things from the previous videos, what makes the whole thing feel quite empty in concept and just visual 'hipsty' filling.

All in all, im LIVING for the song since the first listening and hoping for an album as a great fan of yours. Keep this awesome work guys!
