Today this duo has sold over 500,000 copies worldwide of the releases Hoja en Blanco, Unplugged, Confesiones, and the mix album. In their short career, Monchy & Alexandra have been recognized by some of the most prestigious organizations of the Latino music business. They have been nominated for the Billboard Latin Music Awards, Premios Cassandra, Premios Lo Nuestro and a Latin Grammy. The duo has achieved a large amount of success in a relatively short amount of time.
But now they have seperated and move on
In 2003, the duo received its first major awards, "Tropical Album of the Year, Duo or Group" (for Confesiones) and "Tropical Airplay Song of the Year, Duo or Group" (for "Te Quiero Igual Que Ayer") from the Billboard Latin Music Awards. The pair also won the Tropical Album of the Year award for Éxitos y Más (Hits and More) and the Tropical Song of the Year prize for "No Es Una Novela" (It's Not a Novela at the 2007 Premios Lo Nuestro ceremony.[1]
In 2005, the duo performed with Salvadoran singer Álvaro Torres, He Venido A Pedirte Perdon, on an album contributing to Mexican singer, Juan Gabriel.

The lyrics of Monchy & Alexandra's song "No Ha Sido Fácil" convey the heart-wrenching pain of a broken relationship. The singer expresses their anguish over the fact that their love interest no longer wants anything to do with them. The pain is unbearable, especially when they see their former partner and realize they no longer love them. Although the singer appears calm on the outside, their soul bleeds within. They find it hard to accept that there is nothing left between them anymore.
The bridge describes the singer's anticipation of seeing their former love again, but they were shocked to see the change in them. The person they once knew has transformed, and it is abrupt and palpable. The look in their eyes is not the same as before. The chorus is a plea for the love that has vanished. The singer asks for help to forget their love interest, and they want to be able to live without them. They beg their former love to leave and never come back, as they imagine being loved genuinely.
