The music is arranged by Mike Patton together with Daniele Luppi, a young and talented Italian film music composer.

As strange as it can sound, I'm from Naples and this is my favourite interpretation of classical Scalinatella song among every other one, even if the neapolitan language of Patton is not perfect.
Lots of neapolitan singers try to make it more colorful with instruments or different rhythms. This is extremely full of darkness and pain and uses just the right minimal amount of instruments.
It perfectly matches with the mood of the script, with a character that is almost going insane because of sorrow for the betrayal of his loved one.
