(Um, why are you so jaded?) It don't get no realer than this
Came with good intentions, made some bad decisions (crazy choices)
It's smoke in the city, a nigga can get it however they wanna get it (right now)
Ain't no more, no more, no more, no more, no more love (no more left)
Seven-six-two like a tattoo, hit 'em up
How you talkin' shit behind jail walls, I just sent you some money? (Huh?)
Had the nerve, tryna diss, laughed at it, I'm just findin' it funny (haha)
I really can get with the shit (for real)
And get you stuck up in this bitch (ayy, tell 'em quit playin')
Thinkin' 'bout Lil Ruger, my shooter, that was my dawg (forever my dawg)
I pray for Kobe, he know that shit wasn't right at all (wasn't right at all)
Wanna pick up the phone and call Elo, but I can't call (can't call)
Unless they make a time machine, that problem, I can't solve (uh)
It's this one nigga I know that's listening (who?)
He probably hoping I say his name (nah)
Niggas be talkin' through these hoes (haha)
Always speakin' on Bread Gang
Get that for speaking on Bread Gang (yeah)
Brodem ain't gon' sleep until it's done
I promise, I put that on everything
Gave it all I had and more (all that I had, oh)
All I had and more (all that I had)
Gave it all I had and more (all that I had, oh)
All I had and more (all that I had)
Gave it all I had and more (all that I had, oh)
All I had and more (all that I had)
Gave it all I had and more (all that I had, oh)
All I had and more (all that I had)
Don't got pride when it come to you (nah, for real)
So I ain't gon' act like I don't care when I do (do)
Too raw to hold back the truth (truth)
The wrong mistakes'll cost you (cost you)
They hit me with a lawsuit (lawsuit)
I ain't had no business dealin' with you
So I can't even fault you (blame myself)
Let me tell it how it is, hold up, I ain't done yet (ayy, hold up)
Washed up ass niggas hatin' on me, guess I'm a threat (Bagg)
I come where you from, why you don't wan' see me at my best?
He upset, fucked on his baby mama, put 'em in his chest (ooh)
The song "Thinking Out Loud" by MoneyBagg Yo is a powerful expression of the rapper's emotional state of mind. The lyrics are honest and raw, and reveal how he has given his all to a situation, only to be let down and betrayed. He begins by acknowledging that he made some bad decisions, but is now facing the consequences. The city is full of danger and he could be targeted at any moment. He laments that there is no more love left for him, and that he has to resort to violence to protect himself. Despite this, he is unfazed by those who talk behind his back, even when they are behind bars, and he is confident that he can take care of himself.
MoneyBagg Yo then pays tribute to those who have been by his side, including Lil Ruger, his shooter, who was his "dawg". He also mourns the death of Kobe Bryant, and wishes he could talk to his friend Elo, but knows that it is impossible. He then addresses a particular individual who is listening and hoping he will mention his name, but he refuses to do so, instead threatening anyone who speaks against Bread Gang.
The chorus of the song repeats the phrase "Gave it all I had and more", emphasizing how much effort MoneyBagg Yo has put into his life and career, but still feels the need to defend himself.
Overall, "Thinking Out Loud" is a deeply personal and emotional song that brings out the vulnerability and toughness of MoneyBagg Yo's character.
