You are not alone
Monster Squad Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Blackness seeps through the cracks
Adorns the walls, turning black
I feel at times I've lost my grip
See myself and start to slip
And I ask why?
Our questions will never be answered
Awaking to another day,
Stepping forth starts this way
Soon as I see light dissipate,
Find myself in a destructive state
All these faces seem the same,
On the outside I wear my pain
I know you are not alone,
And I am not the only one
Who's gonna save me from myself,
I've been waiting here for some help
What will happen when i fail,
I await my life in hell
In this hell!
I am not alone!
The chorus of Monster Squad's song You Are Not Alone is a powerful expression of the vocalist's inner turmoil and despair. The lyrics are evocative of feelings of isolation and insecurity, as if the singer is trapped in their own mental prison. The imagery of blackness seeping through the cracks and adorning the walls suggests a sense of darkness and despair that is closing in on the singer, making it difficult for them to keep their grip and maintain a sense of peace and stability. The question "And I ask why?" is a haunting refrain that echoes throughout the song, emphasizing the futility of trying to find answers to the questions that plague us all.
Despite the darkness that permeates the lyrics, there is also a glimmer of hope in the chorus. The line "I know you are not alone, and I am not the only one" suggests that the singer recognizes that there are others who share their struggles and pain. This recognition that we are not alone in our suffering is perhaps the most powerful message of the song. By acknowledging our shared experiences, we can support each other and find the strength to face our challenges with courage and resilience.
Overall, the lyrics of Monster Squad's song You Are Not Alone offer a frank and poignant exploration of the human experience, encapsulating both the darkness and the light that we all carry within us.

meaningless? what is meaningless about punk? i think it's the most lively music and the only genre that people could give less of a fuck how perfect it sounds and care more for the message.. id go to any true punk show in a heartbeat if i got the chance because there's nothing like it. you're not going to get the full effect listening to some albums in your room.
