Che cosa sei, che cosa sei, che cosa sei
Cosa sei

Parole, parole, parole
Parole, parole, parole
Parole, parole, parole, parole parole soltanto parole, parole tra noi

Che cosa sei, che cosa sei, che cosa sei,
Cosa sei

Parole, parole, parole
Parole, parole, parole
Parole, parole, parole
Parole, parole, parole, parole parole soltanto parole, parole tra noi
Parole, parole, parole
Parole, parole, parole

Parole, parole, parole
Parole, parole, parole, parole parole soltanto parole, parole tra noi

Overall Meaning

The song "Parole parole" by Montefiori Cocktail is a cover of the original song by Italian singers Mina and Alberto Lupo. The lyrics express frustration and disappointment in a relationship where one person is only saying empty words, "parole", and not following through with meaningful actions. The repetition of "che cosa sei, non cambi mai" emphasizes the feeling of being stuck in a relationship with someone who doesn't change and doesn't fulfill their promises.

The singer of the song is addressing their partner, telling them that they don't want candy or romantic gestures (roses and violins) anymore. They want passion and substance in their relationship. The line "la luna ed i grilli normalmente mi tengono sveglia" shows the contrast between what they're feeling (insomnia) and what they want (to sleep and dream of a better relationship with their partner).

The chorus repeats the phrase "parole, parole, parole" to emphasize the disappointment and frustration in the lack of action from the partner. The last line "parole soltanto parole, parole tra noi" suggests that the relationship is just words between the two of them and doesn't have any real substance.

Overall, the song conveys the idea that words are not enough in a relationship and that actions speak louder than words.

This version was used for a TV commercial last year, in Italy. I guess it was a Smart (car) commercial and it's been really hard to find this version. I love it, great groove and sexy.
