She Made a Fool of You

Was for weak men, not strong
I see now by your face
Lately something's wrong
That new girl down the block
Struck him like a rock
Things you had your way
They go the other way
Love - She made a fool of you
Love - She made a fool of you
Ever since that night
You've been a different man
You just wanna burn
Anyone you can
I knew the night you fell
She chose her weapon well
Things you had your way
They go the other way
Love - She made a fool of you
Love - She made a fool of you
Danger, danger
I see you going under, going under
You'd do anything
To even it somehow
Baby you should know
Better than that now
That pretty little face
Made you lose your place
And it hurts you to
You don't know what to do
Love - She made a fool of you
Love - She made a fool of you
In "She Made a Fool of You" by Moon Martin, the singer expresses how his lover, who had previously thought love was for weak men, has been hurt and changed by a new woman who has come into their lives. The singer notes how the new girl down the block has "struck him like a rock" and everything they previously had, she has changed. The man has become a different person, wanting to "burn" anyone he can, and the singer believes it is because he fell for the new woman who chose "her weapon well." The singer warns the man that he is going under, and he is willing to do anything to even the score, but the pretty little face that made him lose his place has hurt him badly, and he does not know what to do.
The lyrics in "She Made a Fool of You" brings out the theme of love, heartbreaks, and how a new person can change everything. The singer is trying to tell the man that love can change you, even when you think you are strong enough. The singer is also trying to warn the man that he is heading down a dangerous path and that he should be cautious. The lyrics also show how the singer empathizes with the man but is also showing him the life-changing effects love can have.
