I spent many years in classical broadcasting, and following that now 36 years in symphonic performance. I thought myself quite the musicologist until discovering this great genius only today in my 71st year. Now I realize I know nothing.

+Kurt, Thank You!

rougenavarre

Thank you Wayne for this moving statement.

William Cox

Just found him myself at 66. Been a piano themed songwriter/performing artist for 47 years.

RVDKLDRMR well, the trade off is insanely expensive.

I think this very well may be the most beautiful piece ever written by an American Composer.

Francesco Conti

Yesterday I bought the collection"The German Years", which featured this song in the second disc.
Although that I already quite know the journey of Louis Thomas Hardin, I didn't knew this song.
It's crazy how the purest simplicity can evoke so many emotions. This is for me is the purest love, gently poured into a five minutes song. Makes me feel lucky and moved. Happy to be living. Thank you.

Or Schwartz

Hey, do you remember where you bought it?
I'd love to own a copy too :)

Francesco Conti

@Or Schwartz ehy :) i was really lucky: i found a used copy in mint conditions for 7euros in a record shop in Vienna, which Is called "Moses records".
But i would suggest you to check on discogs.com :) good luck!
