Moose Blood Lyrics

You had it all planned out, didn't you?
Didn't you?
You turned up late but I would have waited for days
Days for you
For you
That thing you said, "stay beautiful"
I'd have you say it in the same way
That thing you said, "stay beautiful"
Even though that I know that it's second hand
I'd have you say it in the same way
I thought I said I wasn't good at this
I couldn't tell you that I wanted you but I wanted to
It took so long, you made me wait
You had it all planned out, didn't you?
Didn't you?
That thing you said, "stay beautiful"
Even though that I know that it's second hand
I'd have you say it in the same way
That thing you said, "stay beautiful"
Even though that I know that it's second hand
I'd have you say it in the same way
I walked you back so you didn't feel alone
I know that you're stuck with him, I know
You've got his name on your arm, his words on your knuckles
So I walked you back so you didn't feel alone
That thing you said, "stay beautiful"
Even though that I know that it's second hand
I'd have you say it in the same way
That thing you said, "stay beautiful"
Even though that I know that it's second hand
I'd have you say it in the same way
The song "Knuckles" by Moose Blood is an emotional ballad about unrequited love and the pain that comes with it. The lyrics describe a love interest who was planned out and appeared to be perfect, causing the singer to fall for them easily. Despite their love for this person, it seems as though the affection is not mutual, with the love interest having someone else in their life. The lyrics are filled with sadness and longing as the singer knows they cannot have what they truly want.
The chorus repeats the phrase "that thing you said, 'stay beautiful'" which serves as a reminder of the love interest's words and a symbol of hope that their affection may one day be returned. The line "I'd have you say it in the same way" shows the singer's longing for the love interest to express their feelings towards them, even though they know the words are not meant for them specifically. The reference to the love interest having their partner's name on their arm and their words on their knuckles signifies their permanent love for someone else.
Overall, "Knuckles" is a melancholy song that captures the pain and heartbreak that comes with unrequited love. The lyrics express the desire for affection and the yearning for a love that cannot be fulfilled.

Kathy Eaton He did a great job. You have every reason to be proud.
@kathyeaton3882
Thanks Joseph, he only had a day or so to learn the song & the video was shot over the course of 2 days. Not bad for his first go at acting & that he's home educated :) He's my little superstar :D

I think most of you are missing the point, the warewolves are a metaphor for how Eddy felt as a teenager. Hairy, shy, always the easy target for kids to pick on, but on the inside he had his beautiful voice & song writing. With that, people started to finally accept him. This is why I love you, Moose Blood.
