She started her career in the 1950s and was a member of the first female orchestra of America Anacaona, which made many international tours. She was also in the vocal groups Cuarteto Los Meme and Cuarteto D'Aida.[3] She died of liver disease on December 30, 1984 in Havana. Throughout her musical career she sang amongst the greatest Cuba had to offer: Elena Burke, Omara Portuondo, and several others. She was the aunt of the singer Jon Secada.

No me gustaba este tipo de música cuando era joven, más bien la odiaba, lo mío era el rock . He repetido tres veces esta canción para poder admirar en toda su magnitud la grandeza de esta cantante. Moraima era simplemente increible .
