A year later the family moved to Denroy's homeland of Jamaica. In this period, three family members left the group. In Jamaica, Morgan Heritage began working with famed reggae producers Bobby Dixon and Lloyd James, resulting in the release of the critically acclaimed album Protect Us Jah (1997), followed by One Calling (1998), and the spiritually-inclined Don't Haffi Dread (1999). They released two albums by "The Morgan Heritage Family and Friends", and the Live in Europe! album recorded on their 2000 tour. Morgan Heritage toured in Europe again following the release of their 2001 album More Teachings... Their sixth studio album, Three in One, came out in 2003. They have released two DVD`s (Live In London and Live Over Europe 2003) with good success and "Full Circle" (2005)
There is a sibling band called L.M.S which is more hip-hop influenced without a band, that often tours with them and is a part of their family, as well as their father Denroy Morgan.
They are one of the most influential reggae bands today, returned to Jamaica and opened studio and realised 3 complilations of "Morgan Heritage Family and Friends" creating their own rhytms.
They have cooperated with most reggae bands and DJs (MCs) of today including Capleton, Luciano, Gentleman, Beres Hammond etc.

While they move sly as a fox
Dat dem want
Oh bwoy
Dat dem wany
Yes sah
I tell u few people can see it
Many are blind to it
Oh no
Hear me now
All eyes on America
People and places want to be just like America
And I can't understand why
When u have beautiful places like Dubai (ah yea)
Lies and propaganda they speak of Africa
I trod from Nairobi to Addis Ababa and find
Find the truth for myself
The world is more beautiful than you know
From Cape Town to Accra to Legos
So much beauty my eyes behold
So much in school they have never told us
Like how much slaves died on Gori Island in Senegal
And how much never reach Caribbean islands (whoi)
The slave trade was wickeda than you know
And now they return to Africa for the gold
And diamonds
While they make it seem like the land is just full of poverty yea
And hungry belly, what a terrible conspiracy
Now we say
Selah
There goes the end of an era
No more we are blind to the truth bout yah
I and I stronger than ever
JAH know we say
Selah
There goes the end of an era
No more we are blind to the truth bout yah
I and I stronger than ever
SELAH
I cry for Jamaica
It hurt my heart fi see my people of Jamaica
Don't realize seh reggae music is the savior
Preserving the knowledge of our former selves
Check di yute dem inna Gambia
If you neva know
You would ah feel dem born and raise inna Jamaica
To how dem love di culture, Rastafari culture
Dem live di livity as well yea
Earth is the Lords and fullness there of
So I have the right to live where I'm loved
And celebrated
No hate can keep me from anywhere in the world

SELAH
What if I told u ancient stories
Was much simpler than they made it seem
Would you trod it over Zion way
See how they doing the things over there
And if you thought there's something to fear
Just some time back when you was a little tat
And they said don't do this or child don't that⦠Please
Maybe you said you do, maybe you said you don't
But then you figured it out so life moved on
Yeah dem be da days of innocent fun
Now we living with purpose in Jah Kingdom
What's da prob? Whatcha sayin? What's the beef cuz?
The future is determined today so take a trip son

SELAH
The lyrics of Morgan Heritage's song Selah are centered around the theme of people being blind to the truth and the need for a change. The first verse talks about how some people want others to remain unaware while they take advantage of the situation. The lyrics highlight the need for individuals to open their eyes and see the broader picture of what is happening in the world. The song's message is that there is beauty in the world, but one can only see it if they open themselves to the truth and reject lies and propaganda.
The second verse of the song focuses on Africa, the beauty it possesses, and the lies that people spread about it. Morgan Heritage talks about the slave trade and how it was more horrific than people know, as well as how people make it seem like Africa is all poverty and hunger. The song's third verse is a call for people to recognize the significance of Jamaican culture and reggae music, which serves as a preserver of their identity and wisdom from their past. The lyrics present an overall theme of awakening and recognition that will lead to stronger, more resilient individuals.
