quick little note on all the tarot cards
Ame- The Priestess : Upright, this card represents mystery and the thirst for knowledge. Which is fitting for a detective.
Ina - The Wheel of Fortune (Inversed) : Normally the card represents luck and good fortune, but since it's inversed it represents bad luck and disruption. Probably a reference to her lovecratian-based design
Gura- The Fool: Usually means innocence, freedom, and most commonly means new beginnings. Gura is v sweet and probably the most childlike of the bunch so yeah it checks out. Also.... the fool hehe
Kiara - The Sun: Usually means happiness, freedom, truth, openness, and uh, marriage. Kiara herself is very positive and also could be a bit more literal as in many myths it is believed that the sun dies every night and is reborn in the morning, similar to a phoenix.

Thank you for explaining, I'm not into Tarot so I personally would have gone with just the title of the cards instead of the meaning. I was about to comment how I am confused Ina is not the high priestes since she in her lore is a literal priestess. I did some research on the cards and I agree that it fits Ame way more.

Now that we are talking about the meaning of cards rather than just the titles I have found the meaning for a reversed wheel of fortune are, according to wikipedia: Increase, abundance, superfluity. I'm not equally deep into every hololiver but that doesn't really sound like Ina(s lore).
On the contrast, the Magician kinda fits her lore perfectly. I'm late to commenting on this song, but there's been a lot I wanted to digest from it. And I finally have words to my thoughts.

So much of this song feels like an incredibly honest meditation on the entire notion of streaming and the work that she's pouring into this identity that one day, she's going to leave behind. I know it is semi-taboo to acknowledge that v-tubers are characters that have ends, but I think Mori is intensely aware of that, and wants to pour as much of herself into her work while she can, so there's something there that lives onward.

And I think there's something so wonderfully fitting about that level of self awareness, of any character to express this. After all, Memento Mori. Remember your mortality.

And my opinion wasn't asked for, but the red doesn't have to run black for me to say this has been more than I could have ever imagined, in all the right ways to drive me further forward. I know that as long as Calli wants to keep it up, she'll keep knocking out absolute jams that I really don't think anyone else could. And I'll keep loving it.

I always thought that Calli is very similiar to Coco in that regard. Knowing that it's ultimatively kinda weird to build an entire career around a character she didn't even create herself and that she'll someday might move on from that. Sometimes it feels like she's even preparing for it with all the hints she's dropped about her other persona. But I don't think she will fade away. She produced awesome music before she was Calli and I'm sure she would continue doing so even if she left Hololive. For me the most inspiring thing about Calli is how she's just living for her art to an extend not many people do.

Her songs overall resonate really strongly with me and it's not just because i feel connection with Calli, she has a really great talent for lyrics, her rap is essentially modern poetry. I write some myself from time to time so i can really appreciate how talented someone must be to come up with all these allegories not to mention making them fit in the beat and rhyme. Even something as simple as "red turns black" which stands for the blood getting stale due to the passing of time, also hints at suffering or being wounded because the color change takes place outside of body. This is so ingenious, three words to describe something that would take me like 2 lines to express.
She has a really amazing talent for music.

With Coco’s Graduation Announcement, I feel this song a little bit more now.
There will be a day that everyone would graduate and turn back to stone. And wont even know when or why. I have always admired her musical skills and her love of musical diversity. Calliope Mori knows how to switch styles and knows how to consistently release new tracks. This is how you can tell Calli is super talented.
If you just look at the lyrics in a vacuum it doesn't look too distant from the edge culture of the mid-2000s, but the way Calli delivers it here, with an even mix of slow and fast paced vocals, and an overall vocal tone that isn't trying to be overly raspy or bitter, really helps the lyrics pop and tell a message so much better than they could in a vacuum. Plus, you know... it sounds freaking good.
I can only imagine how many recordings it would take a regular person to nail the vocals.

I usually don't like "pure" raps too, not because I actually dislike them, but because they always feel like a missed opportunity to me. It's always "this could be so much better if it had X or Y styles mixed in", as the typical beats in "pure" rap feel a bit empty to me, kinda like those generic low effort pop songs that all feel the same, they're there just to fill the void and have no real meaning or emotion attached to them. That's why I end up loving rap when mixed with pretty much anything from metal to jazz, but when it's just a generic beat i can't bring myself to like it, it just feel like they went for a lower effort option :v

(PS: not saying that there isn't beats that actually bring something to the table instead of being just background, but those are rare, that's why I keep calling them "GENERIC beats")

Now that I've listened to this for the 100th time, I want to point out something I don't see many people mentioning. While the song is undeniably what the kids refer to as a "banger", there's so much suspense and anxiety behind the lyrics. The whole point of this song is to emphasize how unsure the future is. She writes herself off as , to put it bluntly, a "fad". Because let's be real, a year ago, most of us didn't know what a vtuber was. 6 months ago, no one could have predicted how these girls were going to blow up and change our lives. What will the future hold? Let alone a single year? I think what makes Calli stand out and really earn our respect is that she is looking ever onward. Her ambition pushes her to do her absolute best in the here and now, to make both us and her happy, in hopes that no matter how good things seem today, they can still be better tomorrow. If you see this dad, just know that we feel the effort you put in, and no matter what the future holds I for one, and many of us deadbeats will always support you.

Cali has made many fantastic songs but my god this one is so fucking incredible. You can tell it was from her just from the lyrics alone and themes she raps about. Like her talking about trying to stay relevant and living with it is fucking genius, it kills that idol image and makes it real and personable, to where you can see how theres a struggle. I know Cali probably wont read this or anything but her music is seriously fantastic, I feel like I wanna just share this with my non anime fan friends. Keep it up Cali please, your production with your music is seriously top notch.

Calli's music is very unique and different from other artists. I have never listened to music like this before and I think Calli's music is just straight up expressions and meanings which is good.
