She is dubbed as "Asia's Phoenix." She first rose to prominence when she finished as a runner-up on TV5's Star Factor at the age of 14. In 2012, Amon made her professional stage debut in the Repertory Philippines production of Disney's Camp Rock. She competed in the first season of ABS-CBN's The Voice of the Philippines in 2013, where she became part of Sarah Geronimo's team. Born and raised in Cebu City, she became a recording artist of Star Music in early 2014. She released a self-titled album, Morissette, as her first studio album, on March 2015. She officially became part of ABS-CBN' s Sunday afternoon show, ASAP, in January 2014, as she was introduced as one of the homegrown divas with her whistle prowess. She is currently one of ASAP's Birit Queens.
Morissette was awarded as the New Female Recording Artist of the Year by the 7th PMPC Star Awards for Music in November 2015 for her album, Morissette[/album. She bagged the Female Artist of the Year on M.O.R. Pinoy Music Awards in August 2016. She had her first major solo concert, which was sold out, at the Music Museum on August 2016.

Ms. Amon, Morissette, there are few people we have in our lives who simply, by the sound of their voices, make us feel "All is right with the world." I have my brother's voice, 2 best friends voices and now, yours. Hearing them and you makes the stresses of the day, disappear, if only for a while. I can't talk to my brother as often as he lives, by car, 1300+ miles from me and is unwell. My friends can't talk as much as they have families who keep them busy. So, it's you I turn to, to ease my worried mind. I hear your incredible voice and it's soothing and comforting. And we, your fans, have 24/7 access to you here in YouTube. So we are the lucky ones. You see, I know there is frustration, fear, depression, anger and hatred felt all over our world. And I know you are aware of this as much as the rest of us. BUT, you bring a joy into our (your fans) lives that no other brings. You smiling, while talking and singing, makes us smile too. You convey to us such beauty, such energy and positivity that it's ridiculous to feel anything but renewed hope and love when listening. Thank you for being the person you are. @@inoorac She is such an incredible force and voice, in this world, and too many don't even know who she is. We need to change this! It still astounds me why this young lady's music is not being heard on every radio station across this planet!! She is HOPE wrapped in one phenomenal package!

@@primopalasi2319 Thank you, but I'm sure if you "speak" (comment) what your heart would say, it will seem easy for you too. That's what I've done...and it does come from heart. My precious brother passed away 2 months ago and I still seek out Morissette songs on here to bring some peace to my mind and my broken heart. She sings from her heart and makes us all feel there is still beauty left in the world. Thank you for your kind words. The world needs Morissette.
