1) Motel is a soul-rock band created from Mexico in 2002, consisting of Guillermo (Billy) Méndez, Rodrigo Dávila Chapoy, José Damián and Rubén Puente. Motel formed when its original members — Rodrigo and Billy — reunited to perform music casually, without long-term career intentions. Both recorded songs in music studios and rehearsals independently for several months before coming together as a group. They then played as a duo in bars in [Mexico City, eventually inviting José Damián (drums) and Rubén Puente (bass) to form part of the band.[1]
In March 2006, they released their debut album, Motel, and single, "Dime Ven", both produced by Aureo Bauqeiro and co-produced by Jay de la Cueva under the Warner Music label. "Dime Ven" peaked at second place in the Mexican top 40 in July 2006, coming just short of Julieta Venegas's "Me Voy". Motel followed with a second single, "Olvidame". The same year, Motel wrote Skimo es el Lugar for the television sitcom Skimo, broadcast by Nickelodeon Latinamerica.

The lyrics of Motel's song Hasta el fin talk about the pain of separation and the yearning for the lost love. The opening line "Quisiera poder llorar aunque fuera una vez mas" expresses the desire to cry even if it means crying just one more time. The dream is left behind as something dies slowly, referring to the end of the relationship. The singer seems to be falling apart, disintegrating into nothingness and yet trying to reach the person they love. The sleepless nights have taken a toll on the singer's eyes as they look up towards the heavens.
The chorus "Hasta el fin, el fin, hasta el fin" has a sad and a final tone to it, as if accepting that the end has arrived, acknowledging that the person is gone and that they are only left with memories of their body. The singer says "te voy a recordar pues llevo tu cuerpo en mi," meaning that they will remember the person because they carry their physical essence within them. Despite knowing that the person will not come back, the singer still wants to gather the strength to let them go, "dejame recobrar mi aliento y mi fuerza para aguantar para dejarte ir."
In the bridge, the singer becomes even more desperate, saying, "dejame desintegrarme aqui para llegar a ti para pedirle al tiempo me deje otra vez vivir mil años junto a ti, te esperare hasta el fin hasta morir... hasta el fin, el fin, hasta el fin, el fin..." The singer seems to be willing to disintegrate just to be able to reach the person and ask time to let them live together again for thousands of years. The desperation in the lyrics shows the intensity of the singer's love for the person they have lost.
