1) Motel is a soul-rock band created from Mexico in 2002, consisting of Guillermo (Billy) Méndez, Rodrigo Dávila Chapoy, José Damián and Rubén Puente. Motel formed when its original members — Rodrigo and Billy — reunited to perform music casually, without long-term career intentions. Both recorded songs in music studios and rehearsals independently for several months before coming together as a group. They then played as a duo in bars in [Mexico City, eventually inviting José Damián (drums) and Rubén Puente (bass) to form part of the band.[1]
In March 2006, they released their debut album, Motel, and single, "Dime Ven", both produced by Aureo Bauqeiro and co-produced by Jay de la Cueva under the Warner Music label. "Dime Ven" peaked at second place in the Mexican top 40 in July 2006, coming just short of Julieta Venegas's "Me Voy". Motel followed with a second single, "Olvidame". The same year, Motel wrote Skimo es el Lugar for the television sitcom Skimo, broadcast by Nickelodeon Latinamerica.
2)Formed in Sao Paulo, in the abouts of 2005, the band has influences that vary from traditional 70s hard rock to vintage electronic music.

Motel Lyrics

Days and times in a pimped out track
After-party yeah we got it like that
Ripped up jeans and a tipped up hat
Yes sir, what’s up
Cigarette butts in a plastic cup
Stuck in a rut and I want to go prancing
See guys and girls dancing
All the things that money can’t buy
No complaining I’ll stay the night
So high and I don’t know why
Dip low and take my photo
Dip low and take my photo
You know it’s only right girl
To stay the night and take my photo
Rejoins-moi au Motel Califorña
Je prendrai de jolis clichés de toi
Yup yup, feel my flow
Turn me up turn my lights down low
This ain’t the time for fluorescents yo
If you came to party say ho ho
Yeah, I be who I be
That’s me plus 3 in the VIP
Let’s ditch this club it’s time to meet
at the hotel, motel
Take my picture on the wall paper, instigator I made her day
Out to get her so when I get her we stick together like paper mache
Dip low and take my photo
Dip low and take my photo
You know it’s only right girl
To stay the night and take my photo
The song "MOTEL" by Motel is a celebration of youthful abandon and the pleasures of the night. The lyrics describe a scene of post-party carousing, with the singer's ripped up jeans and tipped up hat signifying his devil-may-care attitude. He's looking for some excitement and finds it in the form of dancing and taking photographs with his companions. The chorus, "Dip low and take my photo / You know it's only right girl / To stay the night and take my photo," captures the reckless, romantic energy of the moment. The French lyrics, "Rejoins-moi au Motel Califorña / Je prendrai de jolis clichés de toi" further enhance the sense of adventure and exoticism.

No sé si soy yo, pero esta canción me transportó a los inicios de Motel. Ese sonido y esa letra, son la esencia inolvidable de esta grupo.❤🎵🎶 Amé la rola.

Me sonó a una mezcla entre 17 y Prisma
@lenninsabarbosa3817
Nada que ver con sus inicios! Eran pop rock! Esto esto es como electro pop
@andrech.6147

@carloscaceres2159
Realmente que el Pop rock hace bastante falta, sobre todo a nuestra generación.
@luiscarloscamposrodriguez2424
justo en 2004 cuando la vida era mas sencilla, una de las mejores etapas de la vida la juventud rebelde, romantica y poetica
gracias por esto
