1) Motel is a soul-rock band created from Mexico in 2002, consisting of Guillermo (Billy) Méndez, Rodrigo Dávila Chapoy, José Damián and Rubén Puente. Motel formed when its original members — Rodrigo and Billy — reunited to perform music casually, without long-term career intentions. Both recorded songs in music studios and rehearsals independently for several months before coming together as a group. They then played as a duo in bars in [Mexico City, eventually inviting José Damián (drums) and Rubén Puente (bass) to form part of the band.[1]
In March 2006, they released their debut album, Motel, and single, "Dime Ven", both produced by Aureo Bauqeiro and co-produced by Jay de la Cueva under the Warner Music label. "Dime Ven" peaked at second place in the Mexican top 40 in July 2006, coming just short of Julieta Venegas's "Me Voy". Motel followed with a second single, "Olvidame". The same year, Motel wrote Skimo es el Lugar for the television sitcom Skimo, broadcast by Nickelodeon Latinamerica.

2)Formed in Sao Paulo, in the abouts of 2005, the band has influences that vary from traditional 70s hard rock to vintage electronic music.

How much difference is there in cost for Motel / Hotel ? I know this may vary but still just to figure out.

Is the rooms at Motel all neat or is does it also have some difference ?

Hari, I am sorry I did not see your comment til now. Yes, there is a cost difference. In my experience, motels tend to cost less than $150 US dollars a night. Some really cheap ones 40-60$ (But in my experience 1 out of 10 of these low cost options were really stayable). Hotels start closer to $100 up to $500 a night depending on location and stars. We tended to go for hotels between $100-$150 a night (Holiday Inn Express is a brand here we typically like).

Foyers can be in homes or offices. Lobbies are only in offices/business buildings. Both are entry ways, but what makes a lobby different usually is a receiptionist or an office assistant works there, greeting everyone who enters. Another word to add to this would be 'atrium.' I have to learn the differences between an atrium and a lobby! This is my basic understanding only.

Normally whenever I thought motel I thought ghetto. Especially here in florida :-: a majority of them look very fishy... Althought in conneticut when I was about 12, me and my parents stayed at a motel for a few days and it came with a heated built in pool and a gym!

Hmm.. interesting.. yes, I think in some cities or parts of the US motels are in not so good areas. This motel I stayed at in the picture was near a university where barely any people actually lived, so it was ok.

Hi Jennifer, I'm from Brazil and I have a question. Here the difference between hotel and motel is that the hotel usually is only for you (and maybe your family) to sleep etc, but the motel is only for couples (to have sex), as a matter of fact, it is not allowed teenagers or kids. Is there a name for places like our (brazilian) motel? Actually, is there placeS like that in the USA?

Fabio, that is a really interesting cultural difference! I think maybe back in the olden days, that may have been a stereotype of a motel. Maybe in some cities some motels have this reputation. I have done a lot of traveling around the US in the last year, mostly in Utah, Wyoming, Nevada and Arizona and have stayed in some motels that were very family oriented. I think it depends on the area.

That’s in New York I don’t live there I live in Florida It’s nice Being able to Park your Car right in front of the Motel Door 🚪But A lot of noises at Motels Because Motel’s Aren’t a Closed In Building Motels are only one or two stories Hotels are much nicer because It’s all A Closed in Building with 4-8 Stories high I can see Why You Can Park your Car in front of the Motel door because When you step up on the Curb your already inside the motel

When you say 'near New York" is this in reference to New York State or New York City? These are two very different geographical boundaries which can vary widely in prices. I'd say the range could be anywhere from $60-$200 depending on area/hotel brand/time of year, etc.
