Disguise
Motionless in White Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Get up, get up
Fuck
(Get out, never get out, never get out)
(Never let go, never let go, never go)

Spiraling inside my own disguise
This is my design
But we're not here together
Mirror, mirror, tell me who you see
Am I you or me?
I can never remember
(But you can't hide forever)

I found myself by losing hope
I lost my way to find a home
I hid myself, to stay alive
Now I'm ready to face my disguise

(Get out, never get out, never get out)
(Never let go, never let go, never go)

I am locked within the box I built from the inside out
Reassured by my doubt, I (no)
I don't want this fucking (no) co-dependent vice (no)
But desperate measures call for desperate lies (desperate lies)

I found myself by losing hope
I lost my way to find a home
I hid myself to stay alive
Now I'm ready to face my disguise

Sick of wearing a mask
Sick of hiding my face
Sick of every motherfucker that is in my way
Sick of digging for answers
While you bury the truth
Fuck your method to my sadness, I will bury you
Dig

I will not become a figure of my mistakes
I will not become the mask, fear is not my fate
You can't turn down anger
You can't silence pain
You will not put out the fire that burns in me
That burns in me

I sold my soul to my disguise
I hid myself to stay alive

I found myself by losing hope
I lost my way to find a home
I hid myself to spite my eyes
I was losing myself in my disguise

Fear I follow
Safe in sorrow (my disguise)
With time I borrowed
I'm ready to face my disguise

(Get out, never get out, never get out)
(Never let go, never let go, never go)

(Get out, never get out, never get out)
(Never let go, never let go, never go)

This song is basically the story of The Revelation of Jesus Christ to St John. It's about finding our true selves behind the mask or some say the veil. The story is a metaphor or I guess you could say allegory. It's been told in so many ways and so many places. All the major religions and science say the same basic Truth with very little to quarrel about in the slightest of differences that are probably entirely about what is lost in translation. The Truth they all tell is we are all one. There is only one awareness that looks through different veils just as we saw things very differently as children but we had the same awareness.
The Bible tells the story of the voices in our heads and the Love in our Hearts. All the characters exist in the same mind and Jesus is the Love that is found in our Hearts. The Revelation of Jesus Christ to St John is the Revelation of the Love in our Hearts to our higher selves. What's funny is this has just become absolutely clear to me and you two are the first that I am saying these things to as they can easily be checked and I know for a fact that you will find that what I say fits entirely with what you will find in the Bible. It makes no difference at all that the characters evolve over many generations because they still all exist within the same mind just as they do today and just as they always have since the moment they/we were first conceived or you could say were thought of if you want to be precisely accurate. Cheer up fellows, I've known and said for a long time that we are in the exact same place that we have always been having never moved or experienced anything except in our imagination. This is the good news of Truth because it tells us that we can create Heaven on Earth simply by imagining it if we follow the Golden rule or as the Wizard of Oz tells us the yellow brick road.

Oh its the same for me and i just noticed it now

@imaginaryuniverse632

@@weirdochainz927 The song is about losing the hope of the ego which you might notice is exactly as a carrot on a stick held in front of a donkey that keeps it moving. He's singing about the hope that can never be fulfilled because the ego is never satisfied. The ego gets the girl of his dreams and then finds something wrong with her which is usually that she finds something wrong with him and then blames her for not being who she is supposed to be and can't find the strength to live without her. The ego then says that he has given up hope for this reason but the truth is this fantasy relationship created only in his mind is the only hope that he sees in the world because he has become blind to all else that exists and now can only see getting back something that never did exist except as created in his own mind. That's what the song is trying to say but the tone would suggest otherwise for some reason, maybe because the tone attracts the audience that needs to find the message.
Anyway, Love is about appreciation in reality. What most consider Love to be is a transaction or a contractual obligation that promises one thing for another but that isn't anything to do with real Love, it's matrimony which necessarily requires a ceremony and testimony and often leads to alimony which gives the clues it's a Love that's phony. 🤗 I just came up with that but it rings of Truth. 👍
