(3) A garage rock band from Vancouver, British Columbia.
(4) A garage rock two piece from Rome, Italy. The grrrls are playing post-punk garage with a great weird tremelo guitar they call "elephant-fuzz". These two girls (once they were three) have been playing since 2000. Their music is so frantic and energetic that seems hard to believe there isn't a full band. This girly duo is all about rocking hard with a great punkish/d.i.y attitude and a greasy garage sound. Motorama are raw and filthy, just like a riot girl band supposed to be. Their music ranges from the late 80's/early 90's riot grrrls sound which defined bands such as Babes In Toyland and Hole (on their first album) to more forward thinking acts like Sonic Youth and Blonde Redhead to the vibrating energies of Atari Teenage Riot , minus the electronics. Their latest album "Psychotronic is the Beat" was put out by Dead Beat Records. Current line-up: Daniella (guitar, vox), Irene (drums, back vox).

Bear
Motorama Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Watering flowers on her knees,
Every night she plays with me,
Touching gently
Swimming in my fever,
Your father was a bear
Swimming in my fever,
Every night we dance in bliss,
Trembling feelings touch the leaves
Every night we dance in trees,
Ra ra ra ra ra ra ra

Swimming in my fever,
Your father was a bear
Swimming in my fever,
Your father was a bear
Swimming in my fever,
Your father was a bear
Fear with colored eyes
Fear with colored eyes
Fear with colored eyes
Fear with colored eyes
Swimming in my fever,
Your father was a bear
Fear with colored eyes
Fear with colored eyes
Fear with colored eyes
The lyrics to Motorama's song Bear are somewhat cryptic and open to interpretation. The song seems to be referencing a dreamlike or surreal experience where the singer is interacting with a woman who is watering flowers and playing with them. The lyrics suggest that the two are intimately involved and that there is a sense of bliss in their interactions. The phrase "every night" is repeated throughout the song, reinforcing the sense of a recurring dream or experience.
The most interesting aspect of the song is the repeated line "swimming in my fever, your father was a bear." This line adds a layer of confusion and mystery to the lyrics. It is unclear what the phrase "swimming in my fever" means, but it could suggest a sense of being lost or overwhelmed by emotion. The reference to the woman's father being a bear is also ambiguous. It could be suggesting that the woman has some sort of animalistic or primal quality, or it could be a metaphor for something else entirely.
The final stanza of the song repeats the phrase "fear with colored eyes" several times. This line is also enigmatic but suggests a sense of unease or apprehension, perhaps in relation to the woman or the dreamlike state that the singer is experiencing.
