Everywhere
Moustache (feat. Melinda Jackson) Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Can you hear me calling
Out your name?
You know that I'm falling
And I don't know what to say
I'll speak a little louder
I'll even shout
You know that I'm proud
And I can't get the words out
Oh I
I want to be with you everywhere
Oh I
I want to be with you everywhere
(Wanna be with you everywhere)
Something's happening
Happening to me
My friends say I'm acting peculiarly
C'mon baby
We better make a start
You better make it soon
Before you break my heart
Oh I
I want to be with you everywhere
Oh I
I want to be with you everywhere
(Wanna be with you everywhere)
Can you hear me calling
Out your name?
You know that I'm falling
And I don't know what to say
Come along baby
We better make a start
You better make it soon
Before you break my heart
Oh I
I want to be with you everywhere
Oh I
I want to be with you everywhere
Oh I
I want to be with you everywhere
Oh I

I want to be with you everywhere
(Wanna be with you everywhere)

Overall Meaning

The song "Everywhere" by Moustache featuring Melinda Jackson is a classic love song that talks about someone who is deeply in love with someone else and wants to be with them all the time. The lyrics are simple, but they convey a strong message of love and longing.

The song begins by the singer calling out the name of the person they love and admitting that they are falling for them. They are unable to express their feelings in words and are shouting out in frustration. The chorus then comes in, where the singer confesses that they want to be with their lover everywhere, indicating that they are deeply in love and cannot bear to be away from them.

The second verse suggests that something is happening to the singer, and their friends say they are acting peculiarly. However, the singer ignores all of this and asks their lover to make a start and not break their heart. The chorus is then repeated twice to reinforce the idea that the singer wants to be with their love interest everywhere.

Overall, the song conveys a strong message of love and desire, and the simple lyrics make it accessible to a wide audience.

This is the version of "Everywhere" that I grew up with. I was 8 years old when it came out.

I had decided when I listen to a song that if i'm interested enough I'll listen to any n sides, alternative versions, notable live performances, collaborations, samples, covers/originals, remixes/mashups. Everywhere was suggested by YouTube and I love Fleetwood Mac especially Christine mcvie, I look what covers there's been and there's one by an Aussie band called moustache released in the early 2000's. I remember hearing a cover of it on the radio from around that time so I look it up. Not only is it the cover I remember, but it's sung by Mindy Jackson who'd later be the singer in rogue traders (who I also love) after nat bass left. OMFG. And I like the cover. Keep singing Mindy.
