@Matthew Zivanov Cuz just like any other channel that has the same opinion, it's entertaining to elaborate on why i find it ridiculously bad, and how little some people seem to know about it's flaws
as well as seeing everyone else call it "hating"
Let's be honest, there isn't anything this movie can do to make me "hate it", except wasting people's money but that's their decision

and it's being pushed here, not cool, it's in a very cleverly put together gray area, so the authorities can do nothing about it, the perfect crime
And also Tom Cruise took the movie and basically was given all the power to wipe his ass with it

Way to ruin a cult classic, Universal.
Tom Cruise? I lost my lunch when I saw his hideous mug in the trailer. On top of that, this teaser has "serious" and "action flick" written all over it in blatantly cliched lettering.
The Mummy (1999) was more of a macabre comedy than anything else. It barely took itself seriously, and it was a smashingly good cinema. Practically timeless in its entertainment value.
But the casting and framing in this Trailer says it all: Mission Impossible VII: Project Divine Tom Cruise Imitates Jesus-Keanu Reeves Role and Saves the Planet from an Ancient Pseudo-Sexy Egyptian Evil in Order to Save a Romantic Interest.
In other words, it's total cut and paste. New logo on the same tired old product. Just another lazy as beans money grubbing institutionalized cinema production.
Think I'm pouring salt on this? Just wait. I can't wait to read the viewer's criticism.

I personally hated the 3rd one because it wasn't like the others in the feeling. Also, no Imhotep.

Plus, most of the actors seemed to have forgotten who their characters were. John Hannah was still good, but Brendan seemed truly lost in the story. Interestingly, the only part I really liked was Maria Bello as Evelyn. She was no Rachel Weisz, but she was still believable in the role.
