The lead singer is been working on the band for several years and has lived a year in London where he has searched the true roots of garage-rock.
After playing a few years as amateurs, Mozes and the Firstborn started to receive a lot of attention from all the major Dutch record labels last year.
They built their own studio, quit side jobs and studied and spent months non-stop in their basement studio, practicing and creating new songs.
After this, they signed a good contract with the record label Top Notch. They have released their self-titled debut album on the 2nd of March.
Time's A Headache
Mozes and the Firstborn Lyrics

Time's a seizure makes me go insane
Sometimes there's nothing that I want to do
Feeling useless bailing out too soon
Time's a lesion nested in my head
Time's a fever ties me to my bed
Most times my efforts seem to be in vain
Well there's no choice between
Not a choice it's a dream
I'm finding out how to before I lose my mind
Time's a setup messing with my brain
Time's a teaser make me go insane
Sometimes there's nothing that I want to do
Feeling useless bailing out too soon
Well there's no choice between
Not a choice it's a dream
I'm finding out how to before I lose my mind
Well there's no choice between
Not a choice it's a dream
I'm finding out how to before I lose my mind
The lyrics of Mozes and the Firstborn's "Time's a Headache" describe the singer's conflicting relationship with time. The first line of each verse compares time to a headache, a seizure, a lesion, and a fever, all physical pains that serve as metaphors for the mental torment time inflicts. The second line of each verse describes the effect that time has on the singer, making them feel insane, useless, and unable to achieve anything of value. The chorus has the singer repeating the phrase "Well there's no choice between, Not a choice it's a dream, I'm finding out how to before I lose my mind," indicating a struggle to find a purpose or direction as time ticks away.
Overall, the lyrics suggest that time is an enemy that the singer cannot escape, and the resulting feelings of helplessness and frustration are taking a toll on their mental health. The repetition of the chorus emphasizes the urgency of the situation, as the singer feels they must find some meaning or purpose before time runs out and they lose their mind.
