The Japanese lyrics of Mr. Gray's song "The Drain" speak of memories and the passage of time. The first verse describes a nostalgic feeling that hits someone as they look up at the evening sky and reminisce about counting sunsets with someone special. The second verse talks about a girl standing under a cherry blossom tree, crying but hiding her tears with her long hair. The chorus repeats the idea of lost dreams and shattered hopes against the backdrop of a clear blue sky, and the last verse describes a person who feels helpless and overwhelmed as they try to hide their emotional wounds from others.
Overall, "The Drain" captures the essence of a fragile and bittersweet moment in time. It conveys the fleeting nature of life and the beauty that can be found even in moments of sadness and loss. Mr. Gray's use of Japanese language and imagery adds to the song's poetic quality and provides a unique perspective on the universal themes of love, loss, and memory.
