Read Full Bio ↴Mr. Humbert appeared in the glorious city of St. Petersburg in 2006.
First of all, Mr. Humbert is the group you must see live today to tell your friends about tomorrow. There are not so many bands who have no lack of imagination, catchy choruses, a mass of the cultural references in the lyrics and a beat that allows no chance to sit in the corner. Add to this the appearance of true dandies, and listening to anybody else will cease to be an option - Mr. Humbert is unique.
Dandy manners indulged by designer Leonid Alexeev, "humberts” has already graced the pages of gloss magazines, wearing white and blue suits with mirror shards...
Each concert of the quartet is a representation implicated primarily on style and drive, it is not just a show, this mood is born here and now. Mr. Humbert have already become heroes of “YES!” and “Time Out” magazines and darlings of the St. Petersburg fashion industry. They developed, together with world-renowned designer Leonid Alexeev, a line of clothing and stage costumes, played in the “Defile-na-Neve”, in the corporation SELA’s show, photographed together with Michael Boyarski in a special project of “Sobaka.Ru” magazine, became the leading on MTV, overtook the floor of the country, got to fall in love with the capital, and finally find a real loyal audience in his native St. Petersburg.

SOS
Mr. Humbert Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I'll hold on 'til the problem nearly hits me in the face
When you need a better place
And I know it's what I'd want
It's the hardest part of love
Something you can't help but show better than any one of us
You did your best
You did so good
You did so good
If a shadow on the wall can trick my mind to think I saw you
Then I'll forget to shut the door behind me like you'll walk through
And I wish I could translate what it meant those sleepless nights
When you were all I had to make anything feel alright
But when you loose your curiosity
I'll hold on 'til the problem nearly hits me in the face
When you need a better place
And I know it's what I'd want
It's the hardest part of love
Something you can't help but show better than any one of us
You did your best
You did so good
You've earned some rest
You did so good
You did your best
You did so good
You've earned some rest
You did so good
The lyrics of Mr. Humbert's song SOS is all about embracing and celebrating the use of weed or marijuana. The opening line "Puff the high grade and go so hey" simply suggests lighting up a joint and enjoying the feeling. The song encourages people to indulge in smoking weed, shown by the line "Me nuh see nobody love weed like me/ And weed haffi get it nightly." The lyrics also describe various ways of smoking weed such as "Kush not a bush go so hey/ Coke mi nuh look not a way/ Purple kush not a bush go so hey/ Pon di coke mi nuh look not a hay."
The next phrase "West Indian parade" refers to a Caribbean cultural event which Mr. Humbert suggests is a perfect spot to smoke weed. The song features the intention of the singer to smoke weed despite the risk of encountering the police - "Babylon come me nuh fraid me go so hey." The words "Beyonce get lemonade and go so hey" is used to imply that even the famous singer Beyonce enjoys the occasional joint. The lyrics of the song SOS are all about enjoying life and having fun with friends while smoking weed.
