- DJ Mr. Jones (real name: Jonas Uittenbosch), a techno producer from Haarlem, the Netherlands.
Mr Jones, born in Amsterdam in 1981 under the name of Jonas Uittenbosch, was always surrounded by music. He played some instruments during his childhood and grew up listening to jazz, untill he discovered housemusic and bought his own turntables once he was a teenager.
There arenβt many styles Mr Jones didnβt try: from hardcore to dubstep, from electro to hiphop. He even had a gigg in Bitterzoet as Hiphop DJ. βBut once I saw and heard Dave Clarke in 2003, I was hooked on techno.β He was still discovering techno music, but he already was asked to perform at parties troughout the Netherlands, Germany and Austria.
But spinning records wasnβt enough for him. Mr Jones started to produce tracks. In the last couple of years his main focus was to find his own sound. βThatβs why I didnβt feel the urge to DJ a lot anymore. I really made a giant leap after Ritzi Lee gave me some advice.β He started to leak some of his tracks on the internet and it didnβt take long before these got picked up. βIt really was mindblowing when I heard that Dave Clarke played some of my tracks during his weekly radioshow WHITENOISE. β It started with the track βZoom 21.0β, released by Anthony Duponts label βBass Pressureβ, soon followed by βZoom 30.0β, released by the label of Johnny Digital, βIHARTDIGITALβ.
The passion he has for music and his fascination for making something out of nothing has brought Mr Jones this far. βBut donβt think Iβm satisfied. This is only the beginning.β

Mr. Jones Lyrics

I got a call around 3 am
Telling me you're through with your man
You say he hurt you again
You caught him with another woman
Now the tears roll down your face
It's time for you to leave that place
I'll be there to take you away
Hush baby girl don't you cry
Come on an let's go for a ride
I know what he did was wrong
And I'ma show you where you belong
Hush baby girl don't say a word
I'ma give you the love you deserve
So come on and take my hand
And just forget about your man
Well I don't mean say I told you so
But I told you long ago
And I'm not gonna rub it in
I'ma help you heal from within
You need to get him off your mind
So girl come spend some time
With a man who really cares
And I'll be right there
Hush baby girl don't you cry
Come on an let's go for a ride
I know what he did was wrong
And I'ma show you where you belong
Hush baby girl don't say a word
I'ma give you the love you deserve
So come on and take my hand
And just forget about your man
I'm here for you
Helping you get through the pain
Right by your side
Girl you need a change
Hush baby girl don't you cry
Come on an let's go for a ride
I know what he did was wrong
And I'ma show you where you belong
Hush baby girl don't say a word
I'ma give you the love you deserve
So come on and take my hand
And just forget about your man
Hush hush hush hush hush hush girl
Hush hush hush hush hush hush girl
Hush hush hush hush hush hush girl
Hush hush hush hush hush hush girl
The lyrics of Mr. Jones's song Hush seem to be about a man who receives a call from a woman at 3 am, expressing that she's done with her man who has hurt her again, caught with another woman. The man offers to take the woman away from the bad situation and give her the love she deserves. He assures her that he won't rub it in that he told her long ago about her man's disloyalty. The man feels honored to be there for the woman to help her get through the pain and assures her that he will be right by her side. He asks her to hush and not to cry, but come along for a ride with him and forget about her man.
The song Hush talks about two themes, one is helping someone get over a broken relationship, and the other is validation. The first theme is focused on the man's assurance to the woman that he is there for her to help her heal from her past relationship. He encourages her to forget about her man and take his hand because he will take care of her. The second theme is about validation. The man doesn't want to say 'I told you so' but emphasizes that he had warned her about her man in the past. By letting her know that he has always cared for her and that he will help her heal, it validates that he never meant any harm in the past and that his friends had her best interests.
