Holy Death
Mr.kitty Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Will come to take you by the hand
With torment, she will do what′s right
Erase the wounds by hands of man
But every soul is not the same
Destroy my kingdom I have built
To fill your heart with lustful shame
Consume your mind with endless guilt
Inner
Demons
Hold me
Closely
Desecration,
They're not
Holy
Hidden
Hands will
Sever
Their heads
Lay them
To rest
On their
Death bed
Hanging head on sacred ground
Paradise to lands of waste
Cloudy eyes, they make no sounds
Vengeful hearts make no mistakes
Now is the time, summon the saint
The ties that bind are now enslaved
Her scythe will heal, their blood as paint
Our holy death is not afraid
Inner
Demons
Hold me
Closely
Desecration,
They′re not
Holy
Hidden
Hands will
Sever
Their heads
Lay them
To rest
On their
Death bed
The lyrics to Mr.Kitty's song Holy Death are deep and introspective, yet possess a certain darkness to them. The opening lines suggest that the beauty of a frozen night will come for you and erase the wounds inflicted by man to every soul that's not the same. This implies that death is an equalizer and that it can put an end to the suffering one faces at the hands of another. However, the next few lines suggest that one might have to pay a price for being free of the pain. Destroying one's kingdom and filling their heart with lustful shame and consuming their mind with endless guilt will introduce a new kind of pain, not inflicted by man but by the demons within one's self.
The second verse then moves on to the idea of vengeful hearts making no mistakes. It suggests that one might have a list of people who one seeks revenge against and that the passage of time does not change the anger felt. The imagery of hanging heads on sacred ground and summoning a saint to enslave the ties that bind, introduces the idea of taking matters into own hands for retribution. The chorus suggests that it is not divine intervention that will help in this scenario, but the hidden hands that will sever the heads and lay them to rest on their death bed.
Overall, the lyrics of the song paint a picture of the dark side of human nature. It delves into themes of revenge, guilt, and the demons within a person that can drive them to do unspeakable things while simultaneously showcasing that death can be a form of freedom from the pain inflicted by others.

I saw a man and I thought he had my face I heard a preacher and I thought he had my voice
Up on a train since the moment I opened my eyes sometimes I'm sure I've seen this place again but deep in my Heart there's some courage and some hope and certainty that these rails will never end
Feels that I'm growing but this world is getting small
I cannot take it anymore
Well here I stand in the center of the scene with all the lights pointing right in my head
But in the dark there's a man that can't be seen holding a gun with all the power of his hand
The show is over and the applause pricks my ear the hall is empty and the man is getting bigger
He closes his eyes but serenity is gone he laughs at me and at once he pulls the trigger
Feels that I'm growing but this world is getting small
I cannot take it anymore
Now as I lay dead upon the floor I know my name will never be forgotten
I see that train getting lost inside the smoke and my body being fresh instead of rotten
Feels that I'm growing but this world is getting small
I cannot take it anymore
