They first met up in 1999 in the Danish Alt-Country act, Wynona, sweeping both the press and audience off their feet.
Five years of playing and touring later they decided to explore what have come to be Munck//Johnson.
Munck//Johnson spent most of 2004 founding their own label, Laura Lee Records, writing and recording their debut.
This album, Unlike You, was released in autumn, receiving spectacular reviews followed up by intimate concerts.
2005 led to the signing of Munck//Johnson to PonyRec, the re-release of the debut and touring outside of Denmark.
Later that summer Munck//Johnson started recording the second album. Count Your Blessings was released on Danish ground in February 2006.
Once again the minimalistic universe of Munck//Johnson conquered the hearts of all listeners.
Munck//Johnson were for the rest of the year 2006 mainly focusing on the European release of Count Your Blessings.

This Time
Munck//Johnson Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
But remember I won't allow the things you used to do
You're gonna have to toe the mark and walk the line
This time will be the last time
This time if I should feel unwanted, I won't stay
Each tomorrow will depend on the love you give today
It's all up to you to keep in mind
This time should be anything like the other times
This time will be the last time
If this time should be anything like the other times
This time will be the last time
The lyrics to the Munck//Johnson song "This Time" tell a story of someone who has been hurt before and is hesitant to come back into a relationship. The first verse speaks to this skepticism, stating that the person is willing to give the relationship another try, but that the other person must be mindful of the past and not repeat the same harmful actions. The second verse reinforces this sentiment and adds that if the singer feels unwanted, they will leave.
In the final lines, there is a sense of finality; the refrain of "This time will be the last time" reiterates that there will not be another chance if the other person falls into old patterns. The lyrics are simple and straightforward, but carry a weight of experience and caution.
The song uses a classic country music trope of heartache and the struggle of relationships. It speaks to the fight to trust again after being hurt, and the potential for true forgiveness and growth in a relationship. The simple but powerful message of the lyrics is well supported by the instrumentation and vocal performances of the artists.
