This series is the most wonderful and enjoyable experience. I cannot begin to express my gratitude to these fine folk on the screen and all who put it and kept it together and going. Thank you for giving me enjoyment in a world with so terribly little of that. Bless you all.

Totally agree 👍 💯

It's sad we find murder enjoyable.

Yes, perfectly worded! This series felt like my family through years of rough times I've had -- bless & thank you to everyone associated, for delighting me, keeping me company! ❤️❤️❤️

I absolutely love this show. All the actors are so very good that they draw you into the story. It makes you forget that this is just a show and that they are actors. They really bring it all to life.

I totally agree :)

Oh I totally agree with you on that.

How they have maintained the excellence of the series over this stretch of time is astonishing. We are only up to Season 4 because we don't want to spoil the pleasure by binge watching all of it too fast!

I agree. This and Poirot are my favorite series of all-time. I watch both daily and can't believe a person can watch them for free. I'm going to check out Miss Marple and Foyle's War next. I really appreciate English programs' eye for details in terms of set design, wardrobe, etc. not to mention plot, character development. I've learned so much from Poirot ; it's been life changing.

In each episode we find ourselves playing Sherlock Holmes (or Tom Barnaby) trying to figure out whodunn-it (or whodunn-em for multiple murders). You don't just watch Midsomer Murders, you get drawn into the pursuit almost from the start. You start hatching your own theories almost before the ME arrives! John Nettles is such a hard act to follow, don't know how we're going to feel when Neil Dudgeon takes over (although I liked him in the Mrs. Bradley series with Diana Rigg). We were sorry to see Sgt. Troy leave but are warming up to Sgt. Scott lol.
