lyrics:
There's a blackbird perched outside my window
I hear him calling
I hear him sing
He burns me with his eyes of gold to embers
He sees all my sins
He reads my soul

One day that bird he spoke to me
Like Martin Luther
Like Pericles

Come join the murder
Come fly with black
We'll give you freedom
From the human trap
Come join the murder
Soar on my wings
You'll touch the hand of God
And He'll make you king
And He'll make you king

On a blanket made of woven shadows
Flew up to Heaven
On raven's glide
There's angels that turn my wings to wax now
I fell like Judas, from grace tonight

And on that day he lied to me
Like Martin Luther
Like Pericles

Come join the murder
Come fly with black
We'll give you freedom
From the human trap
Come join the murder
Soar on my wings
You'll touch the hand of God
And He'll make you king
And He'll make you king

I walk among the children of my fathers
The broken wings
Betrayal's cost
They call to me but never touch my heart now
I am too far
I am too lost

All I can hear is what he spoke to me
Like Martin Luther
Like Pericles

Come join the murder
Come fly with black
We'll give you freedom
From the human trap
Come join the murder
Soar on my wings
You'll touch the hand of God
And He'll make you king
And He'll make you king

So now I curse that raven's fire
You made me hate
You made me burn
He laughed aloud as he flew from Eden
You always knew
You never learn

The crow no longer sings to me
Like Martin Luther
Or Pericles

Come join the murder
Come fly with black
We'll give you freedom
From the human trap
Come join the murder
Soar on my wings
You'll touch the hand of God
And He'll make you king
Come join the murder
Come fly with black
We'll give you freedom
From the human trap
Come join the murder
Soar on my wings
You'll touch the hand of God
And He'll make you king
And He'll make you king

im gonna talk about the beauty of the final scene of this show for a moment.
jax wasnt a good man, he was a murderer, a criminal, an outlaw but what a likable fucking outlaw he was.
like damn, jax was such a likable character throughout the show even though he shouldnt be and i think kurt sutter did that on purpose, because how can we love such a terrible person?
i first realized this before the end of sons and I'll tell you the exact scene too.
when jax tortured that man for killing tara.
like damn, just damn, by this point it was clear that not just after the loss of his bestfriend and now the loss of his own wife had pushed this character over the fucking edge.
but yet, i still liked him as terrible and cruel as he was i still liked him and thats because he wasnt just the hero of the story but jax was a man, who lost people by others mistakes and he had to take responsibility for them.
jax should have left in season 4 with tara but he didnt because after discovering the truth about JT he owed it to his MC to stay and that is where the beginning of the end happened for him.
but the final scene.
those last three minutes is honestly my favorite scene in all of television history.
tbh i dont think jax intended on killing himself until he saw that truck across the hill i honestly think his plan was to turn himself in after making "one last ride" before he would be locked up.
but when he saw that truck he decided he didnt want a life of captivity and isolation.
he smiled as he saw the truck in the most peaceful way possible, revving up his engines to prepare himself for the painful bliss that was coming ahead, he stretched his arms out and died of his own accord.
ive heard comments say how peaceful this scene really is and i have to agree until you start to think about the weight of it.
jax was given an oppurtunity by the club to run away and continue living.
his original plan was to meet Mr mayhem, but chibs and the others let him escape which i believe is going to cause some clear back lash even if they did lie and say that jax attacked them.
but its not just that, jax hated what he become so much, that he wanted his sons to hate him for what the crimes he had committed, when he stretched his arms out he made it pretty obvious what his intentions were in those last few moments.
the scene flashes to two crows eating whats left of an old piece of bread, all is calm after the sound of motorcycle hitting the car which sends the birds flying away.
i believe that the crows are to represent able and thomas, and the bread (which is stained by some sort of liquid by the way) is supposed to represent charming, through all the violence and chaos that happened in that town, the birds fly away frightened by the noise as blood slowly creeps towards the bread.
the noise is the decision jax made to send his boys away to take them out of a life he was born into.
jax made the ultimate sacrifice for his sons.
because able and thomas were truly...
the sons of anarchy.

This show always made me forget that the Sons were not the good guys. They did a spectacular job at making you root for the bad guys.

@armandougarte6771

@@papabuck3734 3 bad guys lost, pope industries' lost August Marks, the corrupt cops lost Charlie Barosky and SAMCRO lost jax

One of the saddest endings I’ve ever seen. This show is truly a masterpiece, and so poignant it takes time to emotionally recover after finishing.

@frydza2091

If you haven't seen Mayans MC its a spin off of Sons. Hopefully that'll help you recover!

@ctheeworld

Same here ✌️
