Another great perspective on what is considered one of the worst Nes games
To be fair, though, i can totally understand why this game is hated
But at the same time, adapting something like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde to a video game medium is not an easy task
There are plenty of books, movies, and tv shows that seem unadaptable as video games
Honestly, the game is more mid than absymal, effort is there, but it's definitely on the unfair side of difficulty
@spoonshiro
The Famicom version is a considerably different game and actually has two more levels and several new types of enemies. Worth checking out!

That’s like saying that a certain version of a torture device is worth checking out, because it inflicts new and different levels of pain.

The Famicom Version is way more difficult. It has people tossing stuff out of Windows and the Spiders move faster making it very hard to time. If someone beat the NES version of this game I would never ask them to try the Famicom version and put them through a more intense version of the pain the already endured
@rossdavis428
I find it astounding how practically ALL of the residence of Dr. Jekyll's area want to either hurt him or mistreat him; as if he is the enemy of the game instead of them~
@NintendoComplete
Yeah, it's a pretty interesting statement on how civilization is more a symbol of what man strives to be than it is a reflection of his base nature.
@aalloy6881
Like Jekyll and Hyde are more akin to Bruce Banner and The Hulk than the original versions....Also, when Mr. Hyde comes out, he's up against things that go bump in the night rather than the same residents tormenting Dr. Jekyll...
@LITTLE1994
It should've been the opposite
@fargeeks
Yup the citizens are like : uh.. he's an asshole uh I don't like him!!
@fargeeks
Also even the birds hate him that's why they're dropping their bombs on him
@NintendoComplete
Jekyll and Hyde isn't a masterpiece of game design, but the developers should be commended for how much thought and consideration they poured into adapting the classic novella into an 8-bit platformer.
