Black Holes and Revelations (2006) incorporated electronic and pop elements, displayed in singles such as "Supermassive Black Hole", and brought Muse wider international success. The Resistance (2009) and The 2nd Law (2012) explored themes of government oppression and civil uprising and cemented Muse as one of the world's major stadium acts. Rolling Stone stated the band possessed "stadium-crushing songs". Topping the US Billboard 200, their seventh album, Drones (2015), was a concept album about drone warfare and returned to a harder rock sound. Their eighth album, Simulation Theory (2018), prominently featured synthesisers and was influenced by science fiction and the simulation hypothesis. Their ninth album, Will of the People (2022), which combined many genres and themes from their previous albums, was released in August 2022.
Muse have won numerous awards, including two Grammy Awards, two Brit Awards, five MTV Europe Music Awards and eight NME Awards. In 2012 they received the Ivor Novello Award for International Achievement from the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors. As of June 2016, they have sold over 30 million albums worldwide.

Hate This & I'll Love You
Muse Lyrics

Of allowing you to steal
Everything I have
You're making me feel
Like I was born to service you
But I am growing by the hour
You left us far behind
And blaze through your skies
So afraid to die
'Cause I was born to destroy you
I am growing by the hour
I'm getting strong in every way
You led me on
You led me on
You
Oh, I'm getting strong in every way
The lyrics to Muse's song "Hate This and I'll Love You" showcase the pain and degradation someone feels when they are continuously being taken advantage of. The first few lines "Oh I am growing tired, of allowing you to steal, everything I have" highlight the fatigue and frustration that the singer is experiencing. They feel that everything they own, including their time and energy, is being taken away by this person. The line "You're making me feel like I was born to service you" adds to this sentiment, emphasizing how trapped and powerless the singer feels in this situation.
Towards the end of the first verse, the singer begins to realize that they don't have to continue feeling this way. They state "But I am growing by the hour, you left us far behind". The phrase "growing by the hour" is important because it shows how the singer is slowly but surely gaining the strength to stand up for themselves. The line "you left us far behind" could be interpreted in a few different ways. It could suggest that the person who is causing the singer so much pain has moved on and left them behind, or it could indicate that they have left behind their old way of living and are gaining strength from that.
The chorus further emphasizes the newfound strength that the singer is experiencing. They state "I was born to destroy you, I am growing by the hour, I'm getting strong in every way". These lines suggest that the singer is no longer willing to be a victim and is instead turning the tables on the person who has caused them so much pain. The final line "I'm getting strong in every way" shows how the singer is not only physically growing stronger but also mentally and emotionally.

Oh I am growing tired
I am becoming exhausted
Of allowing you to steal
Permitting you to take possession of my possessions
Everything I have
All of what I own
You're making me feel
You're causing me to think
Like I was born to service you
As if my existence was to cater to you
But I am growing by the hour
Though, I am constantly improving
You left us far behind
You abandoned us quite long ago
So we all discard our souls
Therefore, we all forsaken our own souls
And blaze through your skies
And rush through the skies you rule
So afraid to die
So scared of death itself
'Cause I was born to destroy you
Because I was brought forth to ruin you
I am growing by the hour
I am progressively developing
I'm getting strong in every way
I'm becoming better in each and every manner
You led me on
You guided me to a path
You led me on
You guided me to a path
You
You

It's December 2022
And I can still smell the JP-8, the taste of sweet musty cool earth in the lite sand storms during the night time refueling of apache and S.F. chinooks
This song is a testament to the sleepless nights and long days that bled into revolving around the refueling of those beautiful aerial ships
I felt like I was born to service them and Ironicly this was one of about 61songs on my mp3 player from 2010-2011
That mp3 player and it's ear buds was what I used for 'hearing protection, as it was my go to while refueling the Apaches, Blackhawks, Little Birds, Kiowa, and Chinooks
Getting to hear their arrival
Pilot : "Work Horse F.A.R.P. -break-... this is Tail numbers 431 and 527.. -break-... we are one AH-64 and 1 UH-60 in bound for hot fuel at this time, how copy? -over-"
It was always meserizing to see them come in, just to take back off into the night hearing the rotorwash and the chopiness of the blades as they would power up for take off
I miss those cool sandy quite and sometime moon filled nights 🌙
