MK Ultra
Muse Lyrics
The wavelength gently grows
Coercive notions re-evolve
A universe is trapped inside a tear
It resonates the core
Creates unnatural laws
Replaces love and happiness with fear
How much deception can you take?
How many lies will you create?
How much longer till you break?
And they are breaking through
They are breaking through
They are breaking through
(We are losing control)
They are breaking through
They are breaking through
They are breaking through
Now we are falling
We are losing control
Invisible to all
The mind becomes a wall
All of history deleted with one stroke
How much deception can you take?
How many lies will you create?
How much longer till you break?
Your mind's about to fall
And they are breaking through
They are breaking through
They are breaking through
Now we are falling
We are losing control

MK Ultra is the 7th track on Muse's 5th studio album The Resistance. The title of the song is derived from Project MK-ULTRA, the code name for a CIA project that sought to use drugs for the purposes of mind control and interrogation. The song is described as being "electric sounding" and having "spidery riffs".

This is one of the best ways to show a message, i wish more bands would do something like this.

What’s scary is that we know so little about the actual program because most of the files were destroyed. What we do know is scary enough (I actually had trouble sleeping for a week when I first heard of it) so there’s always an unease related to the true extent of the program.
This music video also shows the horrors of human trafficking, one of the biggest problems that not enough is done about. For all we know MKUltra could be a human trafficking ring but that part was on the files destroyed.

The Resistance es el mejor álbum de Muse y es el más infravalorado.

This song is excellent... This video gave this song a much deeper meaning to me, and in turn heightened the amount of respect I have for this song. I have been involved in World Vision campaigns against Human Trafficking before, this actually moved me, so much... Muse, once again, resisted failure - and conquered. Thank you. <3

A powerful eye opener. So heart breaking. I am very happy Muse is getting to use their music for this. They have some wonderful music that sends a strong message.

Video highlights trafficking well. BUT MKUltra mind control is something quite different altogether.

In the state MTV is in right now, I'm exceedingly proud of them for doing this. And of course the music of choice makes it even better. Regarding the theme, it's up to each generation to improve the world they were left by their ancestors. Here's to hoping together we can all improve on the dignity and welfare of the people who can't do it for themselves.

Very disturbing but important to watch. Thank you Muse for creating greater awareness of these inhumane monsters and giving a face to their victims and the victim's families. I will forward this to others.
