Black Holes and Revelations (2006) incorporated electronic and pop elements, displayed in singles such as "Supermassive Black Hole", and brought Muse wider international success. The Resistance (2009) and The 2nd Law (2012) explored themes of government oppression and civil uprising and cemented Muse as one of the world's major stadium acts. Rolling Stone stated the band possessed "stadium-crushing songs". Topping the US Billboard 200, their seventh album, Drones (2015), was a concept album about drone warfare and returned to a harder rock sound. Their eighth album, Simulation Theory (2018), prominently featured synthesisers and was influenced by science fiction and the simulation hypothesis. Their ninth album, Will of the People (2022), which combined many genres and themes from their previous albums, was released in August 2022.
Muse have won numerous awards, including two Grammy Awards, two Brit Awards, five MTV Europe Music Awards and eight NME Awards. In 2012 they received the Ivor Novello Award for International Achievement from the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors. As of June 2016, they have sold over 30 million albums worldwide.

There's a cross hair locked on my heart
With no recourse and there's no one behind the wheel
Hell fire, You're wiping me out, killed by

And the world is on your side
'Cause you've got the CIA, babe
But all you've done is brutalise
Drones!
War, war just moved up a gear
I don't think I can handle the truth
I'm just a pawn
And we're all expendable

Drones (killed by)
You kill by remote control
The world is on your side
You've got reapers and hawks babe
Now I am radicalized

You rule with lies and deceit
And the world is on your side
'Cause you've got the CIA, babe
But all you've done is brutalise
You kill by remote control
The world is on your side

Now I am radicalized
Here come the drones!
Here come the drones!
Here come the drones!
The opening line of Muse's song Reapers, "Home, it's becoming a killing field," is a direct call to the subject matter of the song: the use of drones in warfare. The song addresses the controversial topic of drone warfare and its implications for society, exploring themes of power, control, and corruption. The line "There's a cross hair locked on my heart" represents the idea that anyone can be targeted by drones, with no regard for morality or justice. The singer expresses a sense of helplessness and fear, as they realize they are at the mercy of those controlling the drones.
The chorus of the song, "You kill by remote control, the world is on your side, you've got reapers and hawks babe, now I am radicalized, drones," highlights the idea that the use of drones in warfare has radicalized individuals and fueled opposition to the governments and organizations responsible for their use. The line "You rule with lies and deceit, and the world is on your side" represents the idea that those in power use manipulation and propaganda to control public opinion and justify their actions.
Overall, Muse's Reapers is a powerful statement against the use of drones in warfare, exploring the complexities and consequences of this controversial practice.

One of the best guitar riffs I've ever heard.
@marty.mcflux
No, you've heard almost the same before, just get your old RATM albums back
@atticus9907
I've got to agree,this song in particular is nothing but riffs blatantly lifted from various bands throughout the last 30+years of rock. I'd say 95% of the guitar note patterns and riffs could be traced back to other bands.
@marty.mcflux
Yeah indeed, but still, sounds supergreat and heavy ^^
@marty.mcflux
Totally agreed. Sometimes even bands that have absolutely nothing in common feature the same riff. For example, Stoned Jesus - Indian at 00:37 sounds exacly the same as the starting riff from Mando Diao - Sheepdog. Some stoner rock and swedish grunge band ? I think it's just coincidence. The thing is, there's too mutch music in the world xD Maybe one day even the weirdest drumstep will sound the same

The fact that these 3 musicians found eachother on the same planet, in the same country, in the same town, in the same time is like a gift from some Devine power. Its crazy, unheard of that they all were in the right place at the right time to make this band!

@vOcHaZOv
Nah... it's more like they were your ordinary musicians, and then they put the hard work in, grew together, and influenced each other to become who they are today. You are who you surround yourself with.
