@tammisosa I am so sorry for your great loss. I remember my Mother singing and humming this to ma as a child. I then hummed it to my daughter as i patted her for to sleep. I now do the same for my beautiful grandchildren. They always ask me to ‘give them a hum and pat’ as they go to bed. Such a blessing. May the many wonderful memories of your Mother help to fill the void her absence has left.

I'm 16 an autistic. This helps me a hell of a lot. Calms me when no one can. I can't sleep due to my body not releasing melatonin. So I have to take the tablets. They don't work to great. I'm a breast cancer patient. I discovered this arrangement when I was recovering from double masectomies surgery and spending 16-18 hours per day resting/sleeping. My grandma used to sing me this song and I am crazy scared of spiders and I shriek it's actually pretty sad cuz I'm 33 and cannot calm down from my arachna FIT unless My Mammaw Sang me this song she passed away in 2016 and I haven't had an arachnophobic fit with flashbacks kind of like PTSD since I was a child well it's 2022 I had one and I had to look up the song wasn't the same but it was close I miss my Mammaw and it is wonderful and still helps me

@@coldfin I’m healing pretty well. I recently saw my x-rays and they put a lot of hardware in my leg. I’m now able to start putting a little weight on it and able to move my ankle in small circles. I only have to wear a brace/boot when I’m transferring seats or being mobile in my wheelchair which I’m happy about.

My spirits are much brighter now as I’ve been able to see progress. Thanks for asking ❤️

when i was younger i had a little carebears radio in my room that only had lullaby dics, my mom got it for me because i was having trouble sleeping. i don’t remember the songs it played but i remember setting up my little radio and making sure all my stuffed animals were tucked in and in their proper place before climbing into bed. that’s the feeling these kinds of videos invoke, it takes me back to my childhood, back to my carebear radio and plethora of winnie the pooh stuffies. it’s a nice feeling, a softer sort of nostalgia

My youngest grandson loves this lullaby, it's the only one that works for him besides Moonlight Sonata , he went blind at 1 month old after surgery for his hydrocephalus. Literally tho I love how this helping people but everyone else is talking about how it’s helping they’re babies and I’m sitting here as a teenager with anxiety who is like: um but it doesn’t just help infants fall asleep? Like they’re so precious every single one of those stories but what about the ones that aren’t told as frequently? I recently played this lullaby to see if it has effect to my husband (50 yo) just like with my adult daughter. My two year old and I love this. She falls asleep within 5 minutes of turning it on, or is it just me that is out?! Lol. Either way, we are grateful for a restful night's sleep every night. Thank you!

this was the song that my parents used to sing me to sleep every night when i was a kid and it easily makes me feel at ease and sleep peacefully. so whenever i feel stressed i always hum the tune and pat my thighs and i always calm down. i didn't know that it was an actual lullaby until someone told me about it when they heard me hum this.

i am forever grateful for them and now i can sleep easily and peacefully.

76 year old woman, writer, and dog mom—my very energetic 4 months old Cavalier King charles spaniel was having trouble settling down in the evening—nay, he had no interest at all in anything but racing around. One evening in some desperation, I started humming Brahms' Lullaby, voila a sleeping puppy. So then I found this wonderful version and played it for him 💤💤💤 So now it's our evening tradition...just like when I was a baby and one or other of the parents sang it to me. Thank you Brahms. My daughter turns five in a few weeks. This was a song that played on one of her bouncy chairs. My husband was in sales so he worked crazy hours and I didn’t have a lot of help when she was little. So whenever I had to shower I’d put her outside the shower in her bouncy chair with this playing to keep her calm. I miss those days so much❤️ we are welcoming our second child in July and I’m really going to miss the alone time I spend with my girl now, and all the loving I give her as an only child. I’m laying with her in bed putting her to sleep and this song just brings so much joy and love into my head because of how amazing my daughter is and how this song has been with us as I’ve watched her grow. I can only hope it will be the same with our new baby, or even better because my daughter will be with me for it all❤️
