You always got a problem
With anything that I do
I don't always
Understand everything about you
But I know
I just can't live without you
So yeah
I do-I do, I do-I do, I do-I do, yeah
Sometimes I
Think you might be a little crazy
But it's fine, cause I
I'm still gon treat you like a lady
Now I can't stand it when
Girl, you be tripping and you know it
But I know you just can't control it
So I ain't going nowhere even though
Sometimes I don't like you
You always got a problem
With anything that I do
I don't always
Understand everything about you
But I know
I just can't live without you
So yeah
I do-I do, I do-I do, I do-I do, yeah
It don't matter how
What I do or say or show you
Cause you still question
If it's really real, what I'm feeling for you
I know that people say
Things ain't always what it seems
I promise this is not a dream
I'm really here with you, and you're here with me
Sometimes I don't like you
You always got a problem
With anything that I do
I don't always
Understand everything about you
But I know
I just can't live without you
So yeah
I do-I do, I do-I do, I do-I do, yeah
Even when you know I know you're dead wrong
And before too long
You ain't got to apologize
It's all right
Yeah
Sometimes I don't like you
You always got a problem
With anything that I do
I don't always
Understand everything about you
But I know
I just can't live without you
So yeah
I do-I do, I do-I do, I do-I do, yeah
The song "I Do" by Musiq is a love song that tells the story of a couple's journey through their ups and downs. The opening lines of the song suggest that sometimes the singer doesn't like his partner and finds her to be a troublesome person. However, despite her flaws, he still can't imagine his life without her. The lyrics highlight the complexity of relationships and how even if someone can be frustrating, love can still conquer all.
The chorus repeats the phrase "I do," affirming the singer's commitment to the relationship. He loves his partner despite her crazy behavior and willingness to argue with him. He accepts her for who she is without trying to change her or run away. He believes that he and his partner are meant to be together, through thick and thin. He believes that their connection is real and refuses to let outside opinions influence their relationship. Overall, the song paints a picture of a relationship that may not always be perfect, but is founded on love and acceptance.
