J'veux pas grandir
J'ai peur de toi
J'veux pas grandir
The lyrics to MyPollux's song "Ego" showcase a vulnerable side to the singer as they express their fear of growing up and their fear of another person. The repetition of "j'ai peur de toi" (I'm scared of you) serves as a haunting reminder of the singer's anxiety towards this person. The line "j'veux pas grandir" (I don't want to grow up) further reinforces the singer's reluctance to face the realities of adulthood and the hardships that come with it. Perhaps the singer is afraid of losing their innocence or their sense of self in the process of growing up.
This fear of growing up may be linked to the singer's fear of the person they are singing about. Maybe this person represents a toxic relationship that the singer is afraid to leave or a situation they are afraid to confront. The repetition of "j'ai peur de toi" creates a sense of looming danger that the singer cannot escape from. Overall, the lyrics to "Ego" evoke a sense of tension and discomfort as the singer grapples with their internal fears and external threats.
